What We Have Accomplished
Stewardship Council Updates
Last month, the Borrego Valley Stewardship Council convened about 40 signatories and community members to participate in a forum discussion on the Borrego Health Clinic, the Children’s Center, and Frugal Coyote. Interim CEO of Borrego Health, Dr. Edgar Bulloch, provided an update about healthcare at the clinic and responded to community questions about the future of healthcare in the valley. Dr. David Garmon spoke on behalf of the Borrego Valley Endowment Fund (BVEF) about BVEF’s historic support of healthcare in the community, and BVEF’s desire to continue to support the health clinic. The third speaker, Daniel Wright, discussed the community-wide effort to save the Children’s Center and the Frugal Coyote and identified where Borregans could support the Center in meeting their funding gaps. Many exciting opportunities surfaced during the forum to support healthcare and continued childcare services in the community.
