Our Impact:

This past school year was a special one for Blessings in a Backpack. With the help of amazing partners, we were able to feed more children than ever before AND help kids while schools are closed during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Core News:
Our mission is to provide food on the weekends for children across America who might otherwise go hungry during the school year. However, due to the current conditions in our country, we are working diligently to extend our programming through the summer.

Blessings in a Backpack is committed to distributing bags of food to children living in impacted communities by partnering with community centers, school systems, Boys and Girls Clubs, and local area nonprofits.

The Richmond Raceway and NASCAR Foundation efforts have proven to be a shining light during the COVID-19 school closures. They provided 1,500 extra bags of food to be sent home with children while schools are closed.

COVID-19 canceled their variety show; students raised...

More than 800 students donated their time and talent to produce Humorology. This annual musical comedy show raises money for local and national charities. In 2020, they chose Blessings in a Backpack.
