WE’RE HERE FOR YOU.

Welcome Spring.

Hello:

March has arrived and with it comes much to celebrate. For instance, Daylight Savings Time beings March 10; St. Patrick’s Day is March 17. Spring begins March 19. And Easter week begins March 24 and ends with Easter on March 31. Hallelujah!

March represents an emergence, rebirth, and renewal. We are called to go outside, plant seeds, and give thanks for having survived the winter.

For some, that emergence means it's time to get ready to go fishing. Trout season is right around the corner (April 6), and while I do not fish, I do encourage my patients to be vigilant about a nutritional element of the fish we chose to eat.

Most of us know a supplement called fish oil exists, in part because it’s one of the few that physicians sometimes prescibe. It is used to lower triglyceride levels after you've been deemed to have “high cholesterol.” While it is true that Omega-3 fatty acids are an important component of functional nutrition, there is more to it than finding a dosage in response to a particular diagnosis. Thus, patients naturally have questions. These include, "Is fish oil still good for me?" or "Is a supplement as good as eating fish?"

I am always reluctant to answer these definitively, because the real answer is “it depends.” One of the variables I want to know is, “what KIND of fish do you eat?” Find out more about why I ask in this month’s featured article. It contains a list of commonly consumed types of seafood and their Omega-3 content. Yes, trout is on the list!

Also, until March 15, 2024, we have lowered the price of our favorite Omega-3 supplement – Innate Choice® Omega Suffiency – by 10%. See the news below.

As I said, Omega-3 fatty acids are just one piece of the wellness puzzle. If you believe you would benefit from guided nutritional suppliementation, make an appointment for a consultation at the Center today. Or, to simply get a taste of actions I recommend for creating a healthy lifestyle, join me on March 19 – the first day of spring – for our last Crave Clinic Overview before summer.

The Importance of Balancing Omega-3 and Omega-6.

My answer to “Is Fish Oil Still Good For Me?”

by Dr. Pfeiffer

A question that I am often asked by patients is, “Is fish oil good for me?” Generally, my response will be that most of us are deficient in Omega-3 fats (like in so many nutrients), and fish oil will supply a sufficient quantity of these essential fats. But the bigger question is, "Have I balanced my Omega-3s and Omega-6s?"

After more than 14 years, we’ve changed the name of “The Cleanse.”

The Crave Clinic is the same “Cleanse Program” Dr. Pfeiffer developed and used to help hundreds of patients for more than a decade. Its identity has been revitalized to better depict its many additional aspects beyond detoxification. All of Dr. Pfeiffer’s Four Pillars of Health that are addressed in his book, Longer Healthier Life, are expanded upon in this program: Eat Right; Sleep Right; Move Right; and Think Right.

It is a time-honored, goal-oriented program that aims to achieve longterm health and wellness through a 21-day, full-system detoxification along with the guidance and support you need to create the lifestyle you crave.
