Guest Preacher, Rev. Dee Smart

This Sunday, March 31st, we welcome the Rev. Dee Smart to the pulpit. Dee has been a practicing orthodontist in the Charlotte area for over 22 years. She is married to Carl Smart and they have three adult children. Dee's faith has been the grounding force in her life. After serving as the youth ministry leader for many years at Matthews-Murkland Presbyterian Church, she was called to seminary in 2005 and completed in 2011 at Union Presbyterian Seminary. She was ordained as a teaching elder by the Presbyterian Church, USA in 2012 and installed to the validated ministry of In Christ Supporting Ministries.

Bring Donations for Church Street Market Tuesday!

Thank you to everyone who has already donated wonderful items for the Church Street Market sale! The next collection date is
Tuesday, April 2nd, 1:00-4:00 p.m., in room 306 of the Will Young Building. Things needed include home and seasonal decor, linens, vintage items, artwork, children's clothing and adult jackets, like new shoes, purses and bags, jewelry, and household items. We do want furniture but ask that you keep it until September as we do not have a place to store it. The May collection will be Tuesday, May 7, 1:00 - 4:00 p.m. The sale will be held on Saturday, October 5, with proceeds going to the Haiti mission project and The Commons prayer room.
