PALM SUNDAY, APRIL 14
Worship Service 11:00 a.m.
The First Presbyterian Sanctuary and Youth Choirs will be joined by a 14 member orchestra on Sunday, April 14 to present special music for Palm Sunday, which marks the beginning of Holy Week and Jesus' journey to the cross. Two timeless anthems by John Rutter,
"All Things Bright and Beautiful" and
"Look at the World" will surely touch our remembrance of Jesus' sacrifice and God's plan of salvation for us.
We will also celebrate the culmination of our Confirmation journey as our eighth grade students will profess their faith in the presence of the congregation.
MAUNDY THURSDAY, APRIL 18
Worship Service at 6:45 p.m., Davis Hall
We will celebrate Maundy Thursday, beginning at 6:00 p.m. with a meal and fellowship. Worship will follow at 6:45 p.m. in the same space (Davis Hall). Communion will be served by intinction. The Sanctuary Choir will present a poignant new anthem entitled
"Said Judas to Mary," which dialogues Jesus's final days with his disciples, including the Last Supper. This dramatic and reflective piece foreshadows Jesus's dark road ahead and God's love for us through His son's sacrifice.
Please remember to make your
reservations
for the meal.
GOOD FRIDAY, APRIL 19
Stations of the Cross
This "mobile" service begins at 3:30 p.m. at Grace Lutheran Church (corner of Tournament & Chestnut), then proceeds down Tournament to Lincoln. The walk will conclude at Calvary Holy Church (401 Lincoln St. SW) and will end around 5:30 p.m.

Flowered Cross Service
Sanctuary, 10:00 a.m.
Our Easter celebration continues with the 10:00 a.m. Flowered Cross Service for families and children with special music presented by the Children's Choir and the Youth Choir. Please consider attending this service to support these young ones as they fill our sanctuary with beautiful and joyful singing!! Remember to bring your flowers to place on the Flowered Cross. Children are reminded to bring their One Great Hour of Sharing fish boxes.
There will no Sunday School classes or nurseries during this service.
Easter Worship Service
11:00 a.m.
Our Easter celebration will culminate with our 11:00 a.m. worship with special antiphonal music presented by the Sanctuary Choir, orchestra, and organ. The traditional singing of
"Hallelujah" by George Fredrick Handel by the Sanctuary Choir and congregation will close our Easter worship and commence our renewed birth and faith through Jesus' triumphant resurrection and defeat over death. Communion will be served in the pews with trays. A nursery for infants and children up to age 4 will be provided.
