A Note from Ellen
Dear FPCC friends,

In our gospel text for this Sunday (John 6:14-21), we’ll hear about frightened disciples and Jesus’ walking to meet them on stormy seas. Why are the disciples anxious to get Jesus in the boat with them? Where do you see yourself in the story? When has Jesus met you in the storm?

Eternal God,
protector of all who put their trust in you,
without whom nothing is strong, nothing is holy:
Fill us with your mercy and your grace,
that, with you to rule and guide,
we may so use the good things of this present life
that we do not neglect those of eternal worth;
through Jesus Christ our Lord,
who lives and reigns with you
in the unity of the Holy Spirit,
one God, now and forever. Amen.

Reminder: High School Youth Tonight 6 p.m.- 8 p.m.!
Just a reminder that our High School Youth meets tonight, 6 p.m.- 8 p.m., in Davis Hall for a community service workshop.
We will be making sandwiches for Opportunity House and filling toiletry bags for the Junior Charity League for Cabarrus County students in need.
Christian Education Needs Sunday School Teachers!
Please consider joining a teacher team for the coming year. We use the teams model so each individual is only expected to teach 2 Sundays per month at the most. We had success with this pre-Covid, and hope to build upon that when classes resume in September.
