Update from Interim Pastor Nominating Committee
The Interim Pastor Nominating Committee has been serving this congregation for nearly six months now and we know you all are anxiously awaiting some good news. We feel that we need to update you as to our status. Although we have been working closely with the Presbytery, we have had a very limited number of candidates to consider. Many of the candidates have not been local. We have given careful consideration to each candidate and have interviewed the majority of them, either face-to-face or via Skype.

Recently, we thought we had found the right fit for our congregation. In fact, we spent the last several weeks in contract negotiations, working faithfully to find terms that were agreeable to the candidate, Presbytery and our church. Ultimately, we could not come to final agreement that was acceptable to everyone.

Obviously, we are very disappointed by this turn of events. We will continue our work. We are so thankful for our associate pastors, for their ongoing patience and support, and we deeply regret the stress that further delay puts on them. We are also thankful for the support of the Session and specifically the Personnel Committee throughout this process.

We have been in contact with the Presbytery and they will help us move forward. We know that this a frustrating update and we hope that you can appreciate the confidentiality and patience that is necessary throughout this process. We appreciate continued prayers.
