Wills Sunday
What is “Wills Sunday”? It is an invitation to consider how you can share the blessings God has given to you beyond your lifetime. Wills Sunday is a Sunday designated by the Presbyterian Church USA to remind Presbyterians across the globe about the importance of including a gift for each church in estate plans. Wills Sunday was recognized on May 5 th and our Church Foundation Board wants to bring awareness of Wills Sunday throughout the month.

The First Presbyterian Foundation helps to provide financial support for our church and their programs. We thank those who have gone before us for making this possible through their estate gifts. In order to continue to make this possible we encourage each family to include a gift for our church in your will. How is God calling you to contribute to the world beyond your lifetime? Karl Mattison, Vice President of Planned Resources at the Presbyterian Foundation says,   “It’s the biggest gift most of us will ever make. With good planning, you can make a game-changing gift that can have a huge impact on the causes you love.”

Our foundation board is launching a visitation program to share more information about the work of our Foundation. In these visits, we look forward to sharing information on estate planning and on the passions each of you have for the programs and activities of our church.
