Youth Sunday is this Sunday
Come ready to be inspired as our middle and high school youth lead worship this Sunday. They have been hard at work planning, visioning and creatively preparing for worship and working to help lead this church on the first Sunday of Lent. You won't want to miss it and your support matters!
Early Worship Service for Lent
The 8:45 am service returns on Sunday, March 8th (which is also Daylight Saving Time: Spring forward!). The service will have a contemplative feel and draws upon resources from our Book of Common Worship, Celtic elements, and Taize’. Congregational singing will be accompanied by piano, as well as an occasional soloist or guest musician. Each week we will also celebrate Communion by Intinction. We look forward to seeing you!
Centering Prayer Series
Join us Thursday, 12 p.m. to 1 p.m. in the Commons Prayer Room for our final images about prayer led by Rev. Rachel Vogado combined with our first Centering Prayer time led by Rev. Lynne Keel. Rev. Lynne will give an overview on the practice of Centering Prayer, and then lead us in the practice. This will continue on Thursdays at noon in the Commons Prayer Room through the season of Lent.

As we're wrapping up the Teach us to Pray series, this is the last time to join the gathering via Zoom. Join the meeting by clicking  here.
Concord Emergency Management Group
The Emergency Management Group of Concord is offering a free class on what to do in the event of an active shooter on Tuesday, March 3, from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Central United Methodist Church. All are invited to attend the presentation on this timely topic.

Own a Piece of Memorial Garden History...
The Charleston Battery Benches at Memorial Garden were replaced by teak benches a few years ago. Now through March 31, there are four four-foot benches and two eight-foot benches available to any church member on a first-come basis. These cast iron and wood slat benches need some restoration and you must load and transport them yourself. (They are heavy.) A donation to Memorial Garden is suggested. To view the benches, please ask for Robert Jolly during hours that Memorial Garden is open.
