Update from Lynne, Rachel and Session
|
Grace and Peace to you! Since Peter’s announcement of his departure, the leadership of the church (including staff, Session, and Deacons) have been hard at work discussing and preparing for the next steps in the life of our congregation. As you can see, the Banner is packed with many exciting opportunities for learning, mission, fellowship, and worship, and there will be more as we move into the Fall! Session will be meeting with representatives from Presbytery next week to begin the process of searching for an Interim Pastor. In the meantime, the Pastors and staff are sharing additional responsibilities as well as seeking guest preachers to supplement the preaching. We are grateful for your patience during this transition. We anticipate returning to our renovated Sanctuary on Rally Day September 9th, with Sunday School at 9:45 and worship at 11:00 a.m. This will be our Sunday morning schedule until we can secure an Interim Pastor, whereby we will return to our previous schedule of Sunday School at 9:45 a.m. and worship at 8:45 a.m. and 11:00 a.m. If you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to ask one of the Pastors or members of Session.

God surrounds us wherever we are, as busy as we are, and it is our goal to come together to take note of the Spirit’s presence with us as we spend a couple months outside enjoying the leaves changing and the temperatures dropping. We will kick it off
Tuesday September 11
th
at 6:00 p.m. in the Courtyard with the goal to run the 5K Santa Scramble during this year’s Concord Christmas Parade.
