Note from Julie
The revelation of Jesus Christ…
Revelation 1:1

 Dear Friends,

Thank you to Jaquie Yost for planning and leading the Hymn Sing at last Sunday’s Selah service. Her music and the joining of our voices in song, nourished the soul and was a perfect way to end the sermon series on Sabbath. May we continue to incorporate the rhythm of Sabbath into our lives.

This Sunday we begin a five-week sermon series on Revelation. Though filled with many images and symbols understood more readily by the original audience than by us, there is but one revelation- the revelation of Jesus Christ. Written as a word of comfort and hope to the faithful living at the end of the first century, we trust that the God who spoke to those early Christians will speak also to us.

Grace and peace,
Julie

We are Hiring!
Do you love to spend time holding babies, building tall towers with toddlers, and sharing God’s love with our littlest congregation members?
We are hiring in our Sunday morning nursery! As two of our college-age team members head off to school, we are looking for at least one additional hire for our nursery team.
If you are interested or would like more information, please contact René Prager at r.prager@firstpresconcord.org or Merl Hamilton, Anita Brown, or Janna Mitchell on our Personnel committee.

During our search, we encourage anyone who is interested in volunteering in the nursery, to sign-up for one of the open Sunday’s: Nursery Volunteers: Sunday Nursery Volunteers (signupgenius.com)

Opportunity House Sandwich Making
Just a reminder to the Youth who signed up to help make sandwiches for Opportunity House this Thursday, July 28th.

We will gather in the Fellowship House at 1 PM. Please bring any items that you signed up to bring.
Ministry of Visitation
The Congregational Care Ministry Team of the diaconate is updating the list of those in our congregation who may benefit from visits from the church. We believe we have the names of all those in care facilities, as well as those who are completely homebound. However, we know there are others who are experiencing health or mobility issues that make it difficult to participate fully in the life of the church. If this describes you, or if you know of someone who may fall into this category and might enjoy visits, please speak to Julie Hill or contact the church office.
