Does the passage of time make you wonder about the next stage in your life?
Are you in the midst of a life transition that you’re curious about? Do you wonder where God might be calling you now?
If so, please consider joining us for a several week lunch series, beginning on Wed, August 20. We will begin each session with an hour or so of conversation at 11am, guided by the book, Falling Upward, by the Roman Catholic theologian and spiritual director, Richard Rohr.
After conversation each week, we will share a meal together.
(Please bring your own lunch for our initial meeting; we can discuss how best to organize ourselves at the following sessions.)
At the moment, this series is planned for women (of all ages). If there are men interested, we will work on getting a men’s series going, too. Please let me know if you are interested to join us, so we can make a plan for the best space in which to meet.
Athena will have copies of the book in the church office; you are welcome to make a $10 donation if you wish.
I look forward to talking and praying about our life’s transitions together!

Creative Coping: Art & Poetry
An Invitation from Samaritan Counseling Center Hawai'i (SCCH)
Saturday, August 19, 10 am to 12 pm, Aina Haina Library
Join us for an interactive and fun art segment with Kate Kahoano, and dive into our thoughts and feelings through poetry with Natasha Bailey.
Everyone is invited to share as we create a brave space where everyone feels welcome, respected, and supported.
(sung to the tune of, “Where, oh where has my little dog gone”)
“Where, oh where have our tablecloths gone? Oh where, oh where can they be? With their size so long and their white number, 3, oh, where, oh where can they be?!”
Might you have taken our three long, white tablecloths home to wash and put them away with yours? Or put them in your laundry room or closet?
Please, everyone, check around and look for them. We would love to have them back at church for our aloha hours.
Mahalo!
