Curate's Corner

The first week of school has been great at Holy Nativity. It has been good to see all the teachers, parents and children return to our campus. The laughter of children abounds at our little school in the valley once again for the new school year.

I can report that the parish and school are working together as we have before. The new Interim Head of School Jeanne Wilks is a joy to work with. She brings a fresh new perspective and experience to Holy Nativity School. All of our great teachers and staff are back and working together under her leadership.

Please keep praying for our little school in the valley as it continues forward into the 2019-2020 school year.

Good and gracious God, bless Holy Nativity School that it may be a place to find knowledge, learn respect for creation and know your love in the world; grant to those who teach, learn and lead in this school find in you all truth. All this we ask in your Holy Name. Amen.

Blessings,

Fr. Chris

Fr. George will be hosting an interim rector's forum on August 11, 2019 in the meeting room from 8:30am to 9:20am.  The topic is: Only one Sunday Service at Holy Nativity Church.

A Message from Holy Nativity Interim Head of School

Aloha and Welcome to the 2019-2020 school year.

We have been working together to prepare for an excellent year for your child(ren) at Holy Nativity School. As a newcomer to HNS, I would like to share some encouraging observations of the Holy Nativity School community with you:

  • We are blessed with a dedicated faculty. These exceptional professionals are committed to your child's growth and learning and are committed to sustaining HNS. They are a caring and supportive team who have fashioned a great program for each student.
  • We are blessed with a beautiful campus. Our campus is thoughtfully planned and designed to provide space for physical and social growth, as well as space to retreat and thoughtfully practice mindfulness.
  • We are blessed with a focus on the whole child. At HNS children are known and seen-as intellectual, physical and spiritual beings. We gather as a school to start the week with prayer, and provide have personalized learning that includes weekly chapel.
  • We are blessed with engaged parents. HNS is a place where parent involvement is welcomed. We thrive as a community who work together to make our student experience exceptional.

These many blessings and our 70th anniversary are the reason this year's theme is The Best of HNS. We
encourage you to engage in all the year has to offer. Be sure to attend Parent Orientation next Wednesday, August 14 at 5:30 PM.
