All School Chapel on 12/15...

was standing room only, as students, teachers, staff, and ohana gathered for the annual Advent service. Students in each class worked with music teacher Lisa Fong and Rev. Jenn throughout the fall to prepare an Advent-themed piece to share. The third-grade class ("3G") read the accompanying prayers and lessons. Students went back to their classes after the service to celebrate the beginning of their vacation time.

Making a Joyful Noise!

On Saturday night 12/16, HNC Carolers were out in force, and afterward enjoyed food and fellowship.

Mahalo to Chandi Hinrichs for organizing the event and packaging up the "sweet invitations" to our Christmas Eve service that were given to those driving by. Mahalo to our choir for leading the singing and to Skye LeGros, our Property Manager, for stringing the lights!

Planter Palooza on Saturday 12/16!

The Green Team had a lot of fun beautifying the planter by our main gate.

This work completes the first piece of the campus landscaping plan associated with our 75th anniversary.

The team, guided by landscape architect and HNS parent Ganya Burnelli, used native Hawai'ian plant in the space.

REMINDERS

Rev. Jenn and Rev. Libby will be on vacation during Christmas week. They both are in town spending time with their families. They are available in case of pastoral emergency.

Our Stewardship Project this year is to help our Sunday School children fill backpacks for those being released from Halawa Correctional Facility.
