Why an Annual Meeting?
In most episcopal churches there is a requirement in the bylaws to have an annual meeting. The annual parish meeting typically elects vestry members and it may elect vestry officers. Also, delegates to the diocesan convention are also elected from the parish. The budget of the parish is presented. The rector, vestry members and other ministry leaders may make reports which are presented at the annual parish meeting.
Whatever the time or the format the most important things that must be accomplished are: the election of wardens, vestry members and a report on the parish finances. Thus, the annual meeting is important to our common life as the People of God at Holy Nativity. It is a time for members to ask questions and to vote. It is a time to understand where we are as a parish as we go into the new year. I pray that each member of Holy Nativity will attend this important meeting on January 27.
Fr. Chris+
Almighty and everliving God, source of all wisdom and understanding, be present with us as we take counsel together for the renewal and mission of your Church. Teach us in all things to seek first your honor and glory. Guide us to perceive what is right, and grant us both the courage to pursue it and the grace to accomplish it; through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.

One Service at 8:30am
on January 27th
and Church Potluck

There will only be one service on January 27, 2019 because of the annual meeting. We will also have a church wide potluck after the service. The Happy Kitchen Team of Holy Nativity has requested that everyone bring a dish to share. Please see Mrs. Chandi for more details.

Getting to Know Jesus
Come and join us at 8:30 to 9:10 for our Adult Bible Study every Sunday. We are going through the Gospel of Mathew. We read a chapter a week of the Gospel of Mathew and then come together on Sunday to discuss what we have read. It is a time for reflection and sharing with one another about Jesus. Do not worry that you have not started out with the group. Just come on and join us. All are welcome!! Please see Fr. Christopher if you have any questions.
