Camp Mokule'ia 2023
Last week, Rev. Jenn spent a fabulous week at Camp Mokule`ia as the chaplain for the middle school campers. Morning and evening devotional time featured favorite church camp songs and a chance to talk about the weekʻs theme, “The Fruit of the Spirit.”
Campers had fun during the day with many outdoor activities: games, swimming, kayaking, zip-lining, ropes courses, and team building exercises. During their activities they were encouraged to be detectives to find clues of the daily Fruit of the Spirit. The fruit they looked for included: love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control.
If you have a Mokule`ia camper in your life, ask them for an example of one of the fruit that they witnessed at camp. When we see the good fruit of the Spirit, we know that Godʻs kingdom is near, so Rev. Jenn encourages you to look for clues, too.
Where do you see the fruit of the Spirit in your daily lives?
