The major project this weekend will involve replanting the garden next to Monteiro Chapel, which had been overgrown and in need of refreshment. If you'd like to assist THIS Sunday, offer needed plants to the team, or make a donation to the cause, follow this link:
A message from Rev. Jenn about her week at camp, July 18-22:
"This week I am the middle school camp chaplain here and we have been having a fantastic time on the North Shore. Every day is filled with songs, fun activities on the water and land, food, rest, and prayers. Iʻve met a lot of wonderful campers and counselors who are making the most of their week at camp.
The overarching theme of camp is The Way of Love, and each day we have a daily theme that we as chaplains encourage the campers to ponder during the day. Each morning and night we have chapel time to talk about the theme, sing songs, and worship God.
Every day I see campers taking good care of one another, serving food at lunch, cleaning up after the meal, helping each other on the waterfront and ropes course. The camp staff are helping to form our children into loving beings who follow The Way of Love. Please pray for us as we finish the last week of this yearʻs summer camp season."
If you havenʻt ever been to Camp Mokuleia, or if you havenʻt been in a long time, I would encourage you to come for a visit. The camp has family stay-cay weekends as well as family camps. There's lots to do, and also - if you need it - nothing you have to do.
This fall, there will be a great opportunity to visit and support the mission of the camp when they celebrate their 75th Anniversary on September 3rd. You can find more information here:

WOW! That's a Big Tent!
This week, Mon-Wed we has the entire makai campus tented for termites. Kudos to Skye Legros for organizing this much needed maintenance!
Did you know that the Hawaiian word for termite(s) is huhu? -- like the word for angry (huhū), but without the macron (kahakō) over the second u.
So I guess we got real huhū with the huhu!
