New Prayer List for Pentecost: A Message from Reverend Libby
For our parish prayer list, we collect the names of those we know who are ill or recovering from illness or injury, as well as those we know who have died. Every few months, we "refresh" that list, so that it is accurate and up-to-date for a new season.
Our next "refreshed" prayer list will be published ahead of Sunday, June 19. If you wish us to list someone beginning on that day (or later this summer),please secure their permissionand then contact Athena in our church office, as noted below.
Please know that this list is not just for use on Sundays. Praying these names through the week is a wonderful way to support and stay connected to our Holy Nativity ohana.
Please send your prayer requests to[email protected] or call (808) 373- 2131

The New Sunday Bulletin:
A Greener Option!
This Sunday
June 5, 2022 we will roll out a new Sunday Bulletin for the Season of Pentecost.
There will be two parts:
1) A static booklet that can be re-used each week.
2) A weeklyinsert section for new lessons & music.
The value is that we will save on printing and on paper waste.
Both booklet & insert will be available in hardcopy on Sunday OR if you wish, you may print at home and bring with you to services. Also, both are available on Banyan Tree & the HNC website.
If you would like to have a PDF copy of the booklet sent to your email, please contact the office at
Our HNC Choir to take summer break after June 5th.
Much mahalo to our choir for so much beautiful music these past months!

Trinity Sunday is June 12th!
Beginning in 2015, the Diocese of Hawaiʻi began setting aside Trinity Sunday of every year as a time to collect a special offering* to support
Camp Mokuleʻia.
Through its operations, facilities and programming, the Camp strives to be a place that emphasizes the values of malama, pono and mana that we have identified as part of our Diocesan identity.
Your financial support at this time would be a particular blessing to our Camp and will go towards providing scholarship support... and strengthening
our Camp after these difficult times.
*If you’re at worship, please make checks payable to “Camp Mokule‘ia” with a memo of “Trinity Sunday offering” and put the check in the collection (your church will mail the checks to the Camp).
If you want to mail your check, send to the Camp at:
Camp Mokule‘ia
68-729 Farrington Hwy.

On Sunday, May 29th,
a few of Punahouʻs class of ʻ72 gathered for a prayer and blessing in our St. Francis Garden, including Lisa Reid-Cole, right front, daughter of Holy Nativity's founding rector, the Rev. John Morrett. The alumni gathered were a part of the planning committee for their classʻ 50th reunion, several of whom graduated from Holy Nativity School, too. Congratulations!
