THE BOOK OF COMMON PRAYER

What does the Book of Common Prayer say about Holy Baptism?  Holy Baptism is the full initiation by water and the Holy Spirit into Christ's Body the Church. The bond which God establishes in Baptism is indissoluble page 298

Stanley and Rose Mary Renewal of Wedding Vows

On May 25th, 2019 Stanley and Rose Mary Yon renewed their marriage vows to each other at Holy Nativity surrounded by family and friends.  It was a wonderful celebration of love.  Mahalo to everyone who made this day so special.

Grant, O God, in your compassion, that Stanley and Rose Mary, having taken each other in marriage, and affirming again the covenant which they have made, may grow in forgiveness, loyalty, and love; and come at last to the eternal joys which you have promised through Jesus Christ our Lord; who lives and reigns with you, in the unity of the Holy Spirit, one God, for ever and ever

Blessings,

Fr. Chris

Holy Nativity would be happy to accommodate you if you would like to prepay your pledge for a few weeks before you get away for the summer.

It has been such a happy enhancement to our 9:30 worship service to have our new choir director, Chris Susuki, and our choir itself participating in the service since Easter.  Holy Nativity is eager to receive "budget-relieving" gifts to support our music program.  Please consider making one!

Our church and school mission statements
The Church of the Holy Nativity
Our mission calls us to glorify and enjoy God's love, celebrate Christian life as expressed in the Episcopal/Anglican tradition, provide for education, encourage spiritual growth and share God's bounty through outreach.
Holy Nativity School
Rooted in the Episcopal/Anglican tradition, Holy Nativity School is dedicated to excellence in education within a small and personalized environment. Built upon principles of respect and inclusion, Holy Nativity School values each child's individuality as it develops principled citizens who recognize their role in the local and global community.
In 1662 in the Book of Common Prayer, Thomas Cranmer wrote "Grant that we may in such wise hear them [the Scriptures], read , mark , learn and inwardly digest them...." We should each read and inwardly digest the mission statements above. Another article will explore the statements more deeply, inviting you to further "inward digestion.
