We are posting a brief day by day meditation from Forward Movement. It's a great way to start your morning! Just click on the website icon above.
Last week our Holy Nativity sixth graders, with the help of Rev. Jenn, led morning chapel for our other classes. 6G has been learning about the liturgy of Morning Prayer and has put together a service that they led the 4th and 5th graders through. When it came time to consider doing Morning Prayer with the Pre-K, K, and 1st through 3rd graders, we all agreed that we needed to adapt what we had put together for the older students.
The result was spectacular! We had four stations for our Childrenʻs Morning Prayer: HNS Prayers, Scripture Storytime, Doxology Praise Art, and Venite Freeze Dance. Each station was led by our 6th graders, who explained the meaning of each of the themes (each were drawn and adapted from one aspect of Morning Prayer).
We are delighted to share a few photos from our chapel with Pre-K and Kindergarteners.
Enjoy!

Ho'omaika'i 'ana to
Frank Condello on his
Ordination to the Diaconate.
Frank was ordained deacon by our bishop, the Rt. Rev.Robert Fitzpatrick, on Wednesday, April 27, 2022 at Epiphany Episcopal Church. Several of us from Holy Nativity attended, as Frank served in an internship here from Jan, 2020 - July, 2021. Many clergy from around the Diocese of Hawaii also attended, to
support their newest colleague.
Frank has been formed for ordination through our local "Waiolaihui‘ia Center for Ministry." His ordination to the priesthood is tentatively scheduled for December.

Tech Team
looking good on May Day/Lei Day!
Both of our technical assistants were on hand for the service and dressed for lei day on May 1! We are grateful to have either Alex Picken (pictured at L) or Thomas Campello (R) with us every Sunday, so that people can worship either in person or online through Zoom.
If you see Alex or Thomas at the soundboard at the back of the church, give them a "hello" and introduce yourself -- they are an important part of our liturgy team. Thanks, guys, for all your help!
