In our parish, we pray for Guthrie, Heather, Lois, Sylvia, Wayne, Rico, Chris, Lora V., Michael, David, Anna Marie, Lorraine N., Brian, Jolene, June, Michael, Doady, Kelly, and for all who have contracted the Corona virus, those who are caregivers, and those who are seeking to develop a vaccine or measures of relief. We pray for those in Hawaii facing unemployment or under-employment.
We also pray for victims of violence around the world.
If you wish to add a name to the prayer list, please be in touch with Puna Coldwell in the parish office at hncparish@gmail.com
We are posting a day by day meditation from Forward Movement. This is a great way to start your day with prayer. Please consider clicking on the website above.
Next Sunday, November 29, we plan to return to the nave and conduct our first concurrent in-person + online service--on the first Sunday of our new church year! Assuming installation of our new equipment goes as planned this coming weekend, we welcome everyone to join us on November 29 at 9am for our first service of Holy Eucharist in many months. If you join us in person, please remember to keep a social distance of at least six feet at all times; please follow ushers' instructions and sit in marked areas in the pews. Participants may speak responses quietly into their masks, which will be required for safety. We will give instructions about receiving the Eucharist. If you join us online, we hope that your experience will be just as good, if not better, than it has been prior to the installation of our new equipment. JOIN US!
THANK YOU FOR YOUR PLEDGE!
On Sunday, Nov. 22, we celebrate the completion of our Pledge Drive for 2021. We hope it has been a period of reflection, commitment and thanksgiving for every one of us. Pledgers will receive a letter confirming their commitment and those wanting envelopes will receive them in December. Please take a few minutes today to celebrate our congregational giving. Thank you for your gifts of time, talent and treasure: you make a difference among us!
--Bob & Jean Steele, Ed Moore, & Rosemary Domecki, the HNC Stewardship Team
PS If you have not yet sent in your pledge card, please do so as soon as you are able. Thanks!

ADVENT QUIET MORNING
SATURDAY, DEC 5
9 am to 12:30 in Monteiro Chapel at HNC
Let us gather to prepare our hearts to receive the miracle gift of the Christ Child. The gift of God to humanity, sharing in a person, the goals of our soul's growth and becoming ... to be more like Jesus. We shall check in with one another, hear an Advent teaching, and observe 20 minutes of centering prayer, then choose a printed reflection item, and wander or quietly sit anywhere on the campus. At noon, we shall again, to share our insights and questions. Participants are welcome to share or remain quiet, as they wish. We will close with a blessing from Rev. Libby, so we may go out refreshed and encouraged!
The tallies are in; our incredible Thrift Store volunteers and staff raised an amazing $12,300 in just five hours on Saturday, November 14. All proceeds will go to support organizations in our community that our volunteers will choose.
Mahalo to this fantastic team!

FOYER GROUPS COMING IN 2021
The Outreach Committee welcomes you to sign up to be part of a "foyer group" (French for "hearthside") in the new year. Alison Kittle will coordinate groups of a few households, each; groups can begin to meet whenever it is safe. Each household will "host" once during the year, either by making reservations at a local restaurant (where each person will pay for his/her own meal) or by inviting folks into their home and organizing a potluck meal. For the sign-up form, go to the Holy Nativity website (www.holynativityhawaii.org) or pick up a form from the Holy Nativity Church Office or the bulletin board outside the church.
Questions? Contact Alison at:
alison_kittle@yahoo.com. Let's enjoy!

Almighty and gracious God, we give you thanks for the fruits of the earth in their season and for the labors of those who harvest them. Make us, we pray, faithful stewards of your great bounty, for the provision of our necessities and the relief of all who are in need, to the glory of your Name; through Jesus Christ our Lord, who lives and reigns with you and the Holy Spirit, one God, now and for ever. Amen.
