Diocesan Convention 2023
A few words from our own delegate Alison Kittle
A mix of clerical and lay people from each parish within our Diocese met last Friday and Saturday at Iolani School for the 55th Annual Convention.
Rev. Libby, Rev. Jenn, Kathy Otani, Nicholas Livingston and Alison Kittle represented Holy Nativity Church this year.
On Friday, three consecutive plenary sessions were held for Education Day. Racial Reconciliation, Environmental Justice & Creation Care, and celebrating the role of Deacons within the Episcopal Church were the topics of these sessions.
Education Day wrapped up with a Eucharist in St. Albans Chapel that included the ordination of a new Deacon followed by an evening reception of food and fellowship.
The Annual Meeting met on Saturday reviewed & voted on approving a variety of resolutions.

The cross that stood at the top of Holy Innocents, Lahaina, Maui has been recovered and was present at the convention.

Floating candles were dedicated to parishioners and clergy who passed away within the past year.
