Thinking about Music on Sundays

As most of you know, our long-time organist, Lorraine Yamamoto, retired on September 10. We have been blessed with several guest instrumentalists who are helping us during this fall's interim time. We hope to use this time to explore various musical styles and talk together about what music is most life-giving and Spirit-filled, as we look ahead to the new year.

Please join Rev. Libby after church on Sunday,

Oct 8 or Sunday, Oct 29 for a conversation about our music program or contact her with your thoughts at [email protected]

On October 10 from 7:30 a.m. - 8:00 a.m. all pets are invited to come to St. Francis Garden for our annual pet blessing.

Pets of all kinds are welcome, though we ask that you bring your dogs on leash and other animals contained in a way that keeps them and others safe.

If you are unable to bring your pet in person, photos and stuffed animals are welcome.

Friends of HNC and all pets, Rev. Brianna Lloyd and Rev. Jazzy Bostock, will be helping Rev. Jenn with the blessing.

75th Anniversary

Celebration Weekend

Nov 11-12!

Announcing the details of our several 75th anniversary events!

On Saturday, Nov 11, in the early evening, a short program in the Community Center/Gym will feature all of our partners: Holy Nativity School, Holy Nativity Church, the Thrift Store and our Gym.

Come and enjoy the music, sports, and dance exhibitions and then purchase your dinner at one of the food trucks that will be on site that night.

The evening will conclude with the music of Gary Pacarro, who offers a variety of traditional Hawaiian and other music.

The event is free, though donations are most welcome.  Exact times TBD; watch this space for more details!

Join us on Sunday, Nov 12, as we celebrate "All the Saints of Holy Nativity" at the 9am service, and save the date of our actual 75th anniversary, too, in and after church on Sunday, January 28, 2024, with Bishop Bob and Bea Fitzpatrick!

SEE YOU ALL THERE!

CORRECTION:

We meant to include all the table hosts and volunteers for last week's tea for our thrift store volunteers, but we left out two names.

Mahalo to Kathy Otani and Kim Garner for all their help!
