This year, keiki and adults will again come to our campus to enjoy kids' games, shave ice, a country store, pumpkin patch, scavenger hunt, and more. The weekend will also feature drive-in movies on Osco Field. We, at Holy Nativity Church, are invited to help out (alongside many, many HNS friends!) in a variety of different ways.
We hope to have church nave wide open and staffed with church volunteers who can welcome families who wish to see and learn about the church. Nina Livingston is making a list of folks who can be present for an hour or more to assist. She also is coordinating an addition to gift bags that will be distributed to keiki.
Other opportunities include:
--Donating baked goods, plants & other needed items.
--Volunteering time to help with set-up, games, and other activities associated with the day and
--Joining other parents and HNS friends as financial sponsors.
Helping with "Pumpkin" is a great way to get to know more of our HNS families and build relationships with our school. Please join us! --Rev Libby

Rev. Jenn is gathering environmentally-minded folks from across the Holy Nativity Community to join our Green Team.
Our mission is to look at our campus to find opportunities where we can reduce our energy usage, suggest and implement sustainable practices across the campus, and care for the wonderful Creation that God has made in our community.
If you are interested in joining the Green Team, please contact Rev. Jenn at [email protected].

Consecrated Wine to be available
at Communion
Given current public health statistics, Rev. Jenn and I feel comfortable returning to the practice of offering consecrated wine in addition to bread at communion time during our services.
Going forward, the Eucharistic Minister will be present outside the chancel rail.
After communicants have received the bread, all will have the option to drink from the chalice.
(We will continue to refrain from dipping the bread, called "intinction," for now.)
Anyone who wishes to decline the offer to drink from the common cup is welcome to continue our current practice of receiving the sacrament "in one kind only," which is considered a full communion in our church.
We are grateful to be able to return to practice that is cherished and has been missed by many!
--Rev. Libby+

Services will be on Thursdays at 11am, and will run through November 17th in the Monteiro Chapel with Bible study to follow.
A few words from Rev. Alison
"We will begin with a simple spoken Eucharist and then share in study of the Gospel for the next Sunday.
The Bible study will be an opportunity for us to learn and share together.
