Holy Nativity School

All-School Advent Chapel & "Caroling in the Courtyard"

Much joy was in the air on last Friday, December 14, the last day of school this year for our school. Rev. Jenn and the sixth-graders led the Advent Chapel service in the nave.

At the end of the service, the congregation turned to face the stained-glass Nativity scene, as 6G students read aloud the story of Jesus' birth from the Gospel of Luke.

"Caroling in the Courtyard" came next. HNS music teacher "Mr. Matt" led each class in a holiday hymn or song. For several numbers, "book buddy" classes performed together. The keiki-3s were decked out in shimmering angel outfits (pictured below).

After classroom celebrations, school families and staff each took home a poinsettia plant. HNS donated those remaining to the church, so there will be a particularly beautiful array of red in the nave on Christmas Eve and throughout the season.

Have a great break, HNS! See you January 5!

Rev. Jenn and 6G "cheer for Jesus" and His many blessings during the homily.

Mahalo to everyone who stepped up!

We did it, and it’s all because of you!

A Special Reclaim workshop, this weekend from Olga Miller.

I’m hosting a very special, in-person workshop this Saturday, December 20th, from 4–6 PM at the Mauna Luan condominium complex in Hawaii Kai.

It’s all about reclaiming your year - with a mix of joyful reflection, curiosity, and a little fun along the way. It’s a free experience, all tools are provided (just bring yourself)

We’re keeping this gathering intimate, and there are only 12 seats left.
