Come, Holy Spirit!
Pentecost Celebration at Holy Nativity
on Sunday, June 8
The nave was full of joyful and diverse voices as we celebrated the day on which the "divided tongues, as of fire, descended upon the disciples...and all of them were filled with the Holy Spirit."
Members of our own congregation, pictured above, demonstrated the variety of people and nations to which the Holy Spirit ministers. They shared the story of Pentecost in eight world languages: Cantonese, Hawaiian, German, Korean, Russian, Samoan, Japanese and Hindi.
A further joy of the day was our opportunity to commission the Summer Staff of Camp Mokule'ia, pictured below. We offered prayers of blessing and strength to the thirty staff members, who come from Hawai'i, many other states, and Mexico. They will facilitate all camps for keiki and youth during June and July.
We send them off with our aloha!

Trinity Sunday Special Offering
A message from Bishop Bob
Beginning in 2015, the Diocese of Hawaiʻi began setting aside Trinity Sunday of every year as a time to collect a special offering to support Camp Mokulē'ia. This year, Trinity Sunday is on June 15, and I write to encourage you to use this opportunity to support this valuable ministry of the Diocese (...).
Your financial support at this time would be a particular blessing to our Camp and will go towards supporting summer camp for many young people in 2025.
I hope every congregation will dedicate the loose plate offering to, and welcome a special collection for the Camp on Trinity Sunday,
June 15, 2025.
If you’re at worship, please make checks payable to “Camp Mokulē'ia” with a memo of “Trinity Sunday offering” and put the check in the collection (your church will mail the checks to the Camp). If you want to mail your check today, send your check directly to the Camp at:
Camp Mokulē'ia
68-729 Farrington Hwy.
Waialua, HI 96791
You can also donate online at https://www.campmokuleia.org/support.
Thank you for being generous in support of our Camp and the children.
Yours faithfully,
+Bob
Robert L. Fitzpatrick, Bishop

As we all know, the federal government is cutting back drastically on Food assistance. That in turn is impacting the Hawaii Foodbank and the various nonprofits that the Foodbank supports who distribute food to those who are hungry in
our community.
On June 26, 2025, the Executive Director of Appleseed will speak about legislative efforts to address this, the director of the Hawaii Foodbank will be on hand to speak about the impact they are feeling, a representative of FACE will speak about what is currently happening in our various churches, and Rev David J Gierlach will speak about the moral response that churches ought to have in the face of these difficult times.
Please click on the flyer above to enlarge
ALL are welcome!
