Congratulations to 2025 Golden Halo winner Zechariah!

In the final battle of Lent Madness XVI, Zechariah defeated a valiant opponent in Nicolaus Zinzendorf 55% to 45% to take this year's crown.

Both of these last remaining saints, one ancient and one modern, captured the imagination of the Lent Madness voting public, but only one can wear the golden headgear. And that is Zechariah, marking just the THIRD time in Lent Madness history that a

Biblical saint has emerged victorious.

Zechariah joins recent Golden Halo winners , Harriet Tubman (2020), Absalom Jones (2021), José Hernández (2022), Jonathan Daniels (2023), and Julian of Norwich (2024).

Book Series w/ Rev. Alison Dingley

"How We Learn to Be Brave: Decisive Moments in Life and Faith"

by Mariann Edgar Budde, Episcopal Bishop of Washington D.C.

Aloha, all.

I'm looking forward to sharing in the book study of Bishop Budde's book, How We Learn to be Brave. I'm excited at hearing about the enthusiasm for this book study, and I look forward to our conversations later this month.

I want to share with you my thoughts about how we will proceed. I see my role as a facilitator of our conversations. Please come prepared to share how Bp. Budde's experiences, reflections and moments of bravery relate to your own experiences, and how you have learned and grown through those experiences.

I have no particular agenda for our conversations. That will be guided by the Spirit and the thoughts and reflections that all of us bring. I hope to provide a safe space for each of us to share and be heard. Ultimately, I hope we will finish these sessions a bit more empowered to use our voices and to be brave in these challenging times.

See you all on the 11th!

~Rev. Alison~

Meetings are: May 11, 18, 25

Copies of Bishop Budde's book are available in the office for $15.00
