What is Advent?

A message from Rev. Jenn

Happy New (Church) Year! The church keeps time a little differently than the rest of the world. On November 30th our new church year starts with Advent Season. Advent is the four weeks before Christmas and is a time when Christians get ready for God to come into the world as a tiny human baby - Jesus! What an amazing thing to think about - God choosing to come to live with us here on earth as a helpless little baby who needs his mom and dad for EVERYTHING! Just like we did.

During the four weeks of Advent, we wait with anticipation for Christmas and think about the things that God being here in the world with us will bring: Hope, Peace, Joy, and Love. Some Christians keep track of the days during Advent by lighting candles in a wreath with four candles, one for each week of Advent. Each day, as they light the candles they think about the baby who is coming.

We canʻt wait to meet you, Jesus!

Breaking Bread/ Pizza Church

Some of our pizza church attendees, the Margolis and Muenzer families, posed for a picture after our dinner together this past Sunday, Nov 23.

Please note: There will be no Pizza Church in December 2025, but will return in

January 2026.

Happy Holidays!

For What are You Grateful, this

Thanksgiving?

It seems that even during this difficult year, there is much for which to be grateful.

Holy Nativity

Vestry & School Board

Get Together

The School Board & Church Vestry

met together for a retreat on campus on November 15. Members spent the day getting to know one another better and identifying shared values and goals.

We are grateful that our board and vestry have a positive and healthy relationship, and that our finances and governance are solid. Getting our two leadership bodies together helps solidify those bonds, so that all of us can flourish!
