Holy Nativity joins congregations around our diocese in sharing stories about our uniqueness and identity.

The Standing Committee of our Diocese has reached out to each congregation ask for a short piece of writing that shares information about who we are. They believe that by sharing a brief profile of every congregation, mission, and school, it can help all of us get to “know each other” more fully across our island communities.

Our own Zoe Muenzer answered this call and wrote the following article for us, which will be shared across our diocese and on its website:

Holy Nativity in Aina Haina is a welcoming congregation where warmth, inclusivity, and a sense of belonging are at the heart of who we are. On Sundays, you’ll find us gathered for worship that ranges from a traditional Eucharist to our lively Family Sunday, and even a “Pizza Church” once a month. However you come, you’ll be welcomed just as you are and encouraged to bring your own gifts and passions into our shared life.

There’s always something happening here. Kids head off to Sunday School (and join us again at communion), while adults can gather for book groups, join discussion circles, or enjoy coffee and conversation on the lanai. Our talented music director, together with a dedicated choir, adds joy and harmony to worship each week. Our Thrift Shop and annual Fall Festival offer opportunities to connect with others while supporting outreach in our wider community.

Our campus is bustling throughout the week: more than 800 people come for school, sports, and community events. Holy Nativity School, serving preschool through 6th grade, offers small classes, nurturing teachers, and a strong foundation for learning and growth.

We care deeply for the world around us through Creation Care, environmental justice, and outreach to those whom Jesus called us to serve: people experiencing poverty, the incarcerated, and those on the margins. That same spirit of care shapes the spaces we offer. Our Columbarium and Memorial Garden provide peace and remembrance. Our gym and youth center welcome all,

from athletes to artists.

Our doors and hearts are open. Come and see -- join us for worship, for fellowship, for service, and for community. There’s a place for you here.

Thank you, Zoe, for your loving review of

Holy Nativity!

HNS Kindergarten Project

w/ Rev. Jenn

In our kindergarten class we visited the Columbarium Memorial garden and talked about Fr. Morrett, the priest who knew our valley needed a church and school.

We talked about how grateful we are for him and all the people who built our school, giving us a beautiful and safe place to learn and play.

Pictured here is a photo of our kindergarteners with their chalk and black paper portraits of Fr. Morrett.

Kupuna Day at

Holy Nativity!

On Thursday, Sept 25th, Holy Nativity School hosted a very successful and well-attended Kupuna Day. During the service, the 6G class joined Rev. Jenn in leadership. The students offered a skit during which they shared the examples of the wisdom and love their kupuna have shared with them over the years.

Tasty snacks and fellowship brought our families together before the service.

We are so grateful for our kupuna and all that they

teach us--mahalo!
