The Rt. Rev. and Rt. Hon. Dame Sarah Mullally,

Bishop of London, has been chosen as the 106th Archbishop of Canterbury,

the first woman to serve in the office.

The Archbishop of Canterbury is primate or chief bishop of the Church of England, and the spiritual leader of the Anglican Communion.

Downing Street confirmed on October 3 that her nomination by the 20-member Crown Nominations Commission had been approved by King Charles III.

Bishop Sarah will take office on January 28, 2026, when her ceremonial election by the canons of Canterbury Cathedral will be confirmed at a service at St. Paul’s Cathedral in London.

St. Francis Sunday & the Blessing of the Animals

On Oct 5th we had a delightful service with pets attending on video, in photos, and, of course, live!

(Buddy and Sunny are pictured above and below.) On the lanai, Rev. Libby blessed our furry & feathered friends and then we continued with a

St. Francis-inspired service in the nave.

Ina, Amie, and the choir brought us wonderful music with a posse of ukulele players!

Kupuna Tech Day 10/4/25

Volunteers from the Iolani Key Club visited our lanai and offered technical assistance to kupuna and others who were interested. Folks brought their computers, phones and questions -- and shared information, refreshments and fun.

We hope to meet again!

Thank you to Kathy Otani for organizing the event!
