Family Sunday 9/14/2025
After a short break in the summer, Family Sunday is back on every 2nd Sunday of the month.
Family Sunday services are youth oriented and somewhat abbreviated, with young people performing many of the service team duties, including reading, lighting candles, setting up for and gathering around the altar during the communion, and participating in the sermon.
|
Sermon time is interactive!
Last Sunday, Rev. Libby helped us celebrate "Creation Care" season. Those who gathered up front helped form our "island" of O'ahu, with fish in the ocean all around. They sat together around the island and talked about how God provided the first Hawaiians with all they needed to live and flourish here. Then keiki took home samples of the food these early residents had in abundance: bananas, coconut, kalo roots and leaves, yam and sweet potatoes.
Mahalo, Ke Akua, for providing for our every need!
|
Ever popular on Family Sundays is the music from Dr. Cat, the Holy Nativity Singers & guest musicians, utilizing our own family-friendly Chapel Songbook.
