Have you ever noticed how much of Jesus’ ministry to people involved food? Food is a powerful tool for breaking barriers, connecting people, and a conduit God provided us to show His love.
Since 2013, Bracken’s Kitchen has been leveraging the power of food to make a difference in people’s lives. Their three-fold approach involves equipping people to get jobs through culinary training; rescuing food that would otherwise end up in landfills; and using those skills and resources to feed those who might otherwise go hungry.
The problem, of course, is that Orange County isn’t the only place where people need jobs, food is being wasted, and children go to bed hungry. So, Bracken’s Kitchen is asking the Barnabas Group to help them explore: What would it take for Bracken’s Kitchen to package their model in a way that could be replicated by others across the country?
You can be a part of that conversation. No special skills required, just a willingness to be used by God to help shape a ministry idea.
