Welcome Winter to
Primrose Farm!

After a very busy year, winter has finally arrived at Primrose Farm. The temperatures are dropping and the snow is already falling, but that doesn't mean the animals are not out to play! Although the hustle and bustle of special events and camps dies down during the colder months, the farm is a beautiful winter getaway to spend some quality time with our adorable livestock, and to take in the peaceful serenity that winter brings. Just because programming has slowed down does not mean our special activities have ended entirely! We still have quite a few winter activities for all ages to experience farm life all year long.

Thank you to all of our visitors who came out this year to our chicken and goat feeding drop-in programs! We had so much fun watching as the chickens flocked to your feeding sticks for a mid-morning snack! As for our beloved goats, they are always looking for some extra food and attention so interacting with the public has done wonders for their day to day routine. If you missed out on chicken or goat feeding this year or would like to revisit your favorite animals for a morning or afternoon feeding, we will still be hosting drop in chicken and goat feeding's throughout the winter as well! Please visit our website for times and days for each feeding program.

Although we like to think of the farm as a friendly family destination, we love catering to audiences across all age ranges and backgrounds. We saw a wonderful variety of visitors for programs and events such as the Barn Dance, Primrose Palette, Escape the Barn and Moonlight Hayrides! We're continuing the excitement into the winter with two brand new adult programs (ages 21+), Winterland Wonders and Valentine's Date at the farm! Come join us for a cozy evening with friends and loved ones for a night out experiencing the quaint atmosphere the farm has to offer. Ages 21+ are welcome to BYOB as we make some beautiful pieces of home d├ęcor, enjoy hors d'oeuvres and take a hayride by moonlight around the farm grounds. We hope to see you there!

We are also excitedly awaiting some new arrivals earlier than expected this season! Our newest member of the Primrose family is our Shropshire ewe named Mary! Mary came to us from a farm in Garden Prairie carrying another new visitor in tow. She is expected to give birth to her lamb or lambs in early to mid-December, so check in with the Primrose Facebook page for updates on Mary.

Whether it is for a peaceful visit or an exciting program, we hope to see many of you at the farm this winter. We thank all of our lovely visitors for all that you have done for us over the years and look forward to working with you again very soon. Have a wonderful holiday and stay warm!
