Winter on the Farm
Our submission to this year's scarecrow festival.
With fall coming to a close and winter already upon us, it seems as though the year 2019 has flown by at the farm. We have made so many memories over the course of the year -- from memorable special events and successful new programming to day-to-day visits from our lovely patrons old and new! Although the temperatures drop and the sun sets earlier, Primrose Farm is open all year, and there is still so much more fun to be had.

The farm is open from dawn to dusk each day and the animals are just as friendly and loving as ever. Whether you are stopping by for a walk around the trails, or are looking for a short getaway to leave the house, feel free to stop and say hello! Our Dwarf Goats Merle and Norman, our Miniature Donkeys Waylon and Willie or any of our other furry friends love visitors! Winter also brings new arrivals to the farm each year, and we are proud to tell you that our sheep Mary and Nelly are pregnant! We hope to welcome their babies into the world by the end of December, so check back in with the farm to get updates on how the girls are doing.

Our newest Jersey cow Mabel is 2 years old and hopefully expecting a calf in the spring.
Here at Primrose Farm our programming and special events are
running year round, and this year is no exception. We have several exciting new activities happening during the winter months that we hope to see you at! If you are looking for some fun for the whole family, check out our Cabin Fever themed programs we will be hosting from December and into February. Whether it's testing your strategy and team building in our game of Hares and Hounds, to solving crimes at our Christmas Mystery Dinner Party, there are games created to test your agility, strategy and teamwork!

We are also happy to announce our brand new adult special event, the Kohlfahrt! Join us as we celebrate a traditional German "cabbage walk" with a lovely nature hike, fun relay games, wine and beer tastings and a delicious German dinner! For more details please visit the Primrose Farm website or check out the winter activity guide. We can't wait to see you there!
Thank you all so much for your continued support year round. It is because of all of you that we are able to grow our farm into the wonderful country getaway that it has become. Check back in with us throughout the winter to get updates on our upcoming programs, events and new arrivals! Happy holidays and we can't wait to see you all very soon.

Let the Primrose Farm staff tailor a one-of-a-kind scouting program to learn about agricultural farming, animal care and husbandry, environmentalism and hands-on history to meet your specific badge needs! All scout troops are invited to work alongside the farmers and educators for a unique learning experience.

Caring for farm animals, milking cows, tending to the vegetable gardens, beekeeping, hiking trails, wagon rides and exploring historical sites are just some of the activities available.
