"To make ready a people prepared for the Lord."  (Luke 1:17)
Dear Champion of the Lord and the Preborn,

Below is a revealing video message from Pastor Jeff Durbin from Arizona. It exposes abortion as one of Satan's crown jewels. It is a counterfeit sacrifice made in honor of the goddess. This is the essence of spiritual warfare. Gird up your loins church and put on the full armor of God to drive child sacrifice and the shedding of innocent blood back to the dry places where demons seek rest, but find none in Jesus' name.

Also, cover Pastor Jeff, Apologia, and End Abortion Now in much prayer. OSA is partnering with them to end the American holocaust. The powers that be now know of their Gospel of the Kingdom work to defeat the culture of death. Remember, Jesus I know, Paul I know, but...

To those who want to learn more about this aspect of the battle, we have a chapter in our book, Abortion Violation, that is called True Spirituality. I've made it a part of this email alert below. It is a long, but prayerfully worth it. It exposes the demonic roots, the goddess worship, and abortion as the sacrament that honors their ancient evil. Keep pressing on saints to the high call and prize in Jesus' name! And above all, do not be afraid for the Lord thy God is with you!

The Battle Rages in Arizona
The Battle Rages in Arizona

To those engaged in the battle to end abortion, this chapter in our book, Abortion Violation, will help you to discern the demonic roots, the idolatry, and abortion as a sacrament that fuels goddess worship in our nation and the world. It will prayerfully help to equip you to not only discern the underlying nature of the battle, but empower you to put on the full armor of God to defeat it in Jesus' name! If you find any merit, please pass it on in your sphere of influence. Thanks!

This book is attempting to chronicle abortion's many violations. One of the most grievous, blasphemous violations is how it violates true spirituality. That is because abortion, at its core, is a counterfeit atonement for the sins of man.

Abortion in no way removes sins or its dreadful consequences. It only compounds our depravity. The prophet Micah addressed this erroneous belief. He stated, "Shall I give my firstborn for my transgression, the fruit of my body for the sin of my soul" (Micah 6:7b)? This is a rhetorical question. The answer is self-evident. It is not possible!

Neither does abortion "rework" the will of God. Abortion does not make a woman "un-pregnant." It makes her the mother of a dead baby. In the same way, aborting a baby in the womb does not necessarily abort God's will. It aborts the blessing associated with doing his will. He knew the child killed by abortion would die, knew the mother or other consenting persons would choose death over life, and even knew the tragic consequences this would bring into their lives. Yet God, the author of life, still chose to bring this tiny human life in to existence. This speaks of his love for life and his willingness to bless even in the midst of sin, confusion, and pain.

Nothing New Under the Sun

Before we can comprehend abortion's violation of true spirituality, we need to look to history for context. Most students of history understand that history tends to repeat itself. Ecclesiastes 1:9 concurs, "There is nothing new under the sun." Given this truth, we should be able to see patterns today that were seen hundreds, even thousands of years ago. With that in mind, the time has come to explore abortion from its most significant perspective, the historicity of the Old Testament.

We read of child sacrifice in various places in the Old Testament. There is an account of this idolatrous practice during the reign of Israel's King Ahab. Ahab ruled the northern kingdom of divided Israel in 870-850 BC. He married Jezebel, a Sidonian princess. Jezebel's father was Ethball, king of the Sidonians, a follower of the more extreme cult of Baal. Historians speculate Ethbaal may have served as high priest of his country's Baal cult. His name was his title; Ethbaal means on who rules with Baal. Through his daughter, Jezebel's influence, Baal worship and child sacrifice reached its zenith in Israel.

During the reign of King Ahab and Jezebel, apostasy was rampant. Their combined leadership resulted in the destruction of the Lord's altars and the disavowing of his covenant (1 Kings 19:10). To secure her pagan religion, Jezebel orchestrated the massacre of virtually all the Lord's prophets and replaced them with 450 prophets of Baal and 400 prophets of the goddess, Baal's consort, Ashtoreth.

The worship of Baal and Ashtoreth took place at an elevated location or "high place." It revolved around the cycles of nature. Worshippers practiced ritual sex in hopes of coxing Baal and his consort to copulate, ensuring rain and fertility of the land. The worship of Baal and Ashtoreth involved gross sexual immorality and child sacrifice.

While excavating near Samaria, the Oriental Institute of Chicago University discovered the ruins of an ancient temple of the goddess Ashtoreth in the stratum of the time of Ahab's rule. "Just a few steps from this temple was a cemetery, where many jars were found, containing remains of infants who had been sacrificed in this temple."

It was a great offense to practice child sacrifice in ancient Israel. However, as spiritual declension continued, a time came when even devout Jews tolerated the practice. Although child sacrifice is abhorrent to God (Leviticus 18:27) and forbidden by the law (Leviticus 20:2), the Bible reveals God's people sacrificed their children anyway. Some sacrificed them and on the very same day attempted to worship the true God. Apparently, the people saw no inconsistency with killing children and worshiping Jehovah. Perhaps they thought the sacrifice of their children was a form of religious expression God would tolerate as well. They were wrong in their assessment!

Modern Child Sacrifice

It is the same today. Abortion has become a form of religious expression. Like a phoenix rising from the ashes of pagan altars, a modern goddess cult has developed from abortion. This spirituality is a feminist version of goddess worship prevalent before the spread of Christianity. Not surprisingly, this repackaged paganism is labeled "feminist spirituality."

Feminist spirituality evolved from the feminist consciousness-raising sessions, the sexual liberation movement, and radical environmentalism that defined the 1960s and 1970s. It teaches women that they are goddesses. Since truth is whatever a goddess determines it to be, feminist spirituality answers society's longing for religious identification but does not demand obedience to a transcendent, absolute truth.

In addition, like other religions, feminist spirituality has a sacrificial element. Feminist spirituality's sacrifices are pertinent to our discussion because they are every bit as barbaric as ancient child sacrifice. Only instead of storing the victims remains in jars near the goddess's temple, the blood of preborn babies is poured out as drink offerings to Mother Earth, their remains are buried under trees or on mountaintops, and their life is exchanged for a magical colored stone. At the impetus of feminists, abortion industry insiders are referring to abortion in spiritual, even sacrificial, terms. In a gruesome reminder of ancient paganism, preborn babies have become a socially acceptable sacrifice to the goddess.

Political feminism discovered women do suffer emotional and spiritual ramifications after an abortion. Due to this spiritual backlash, and to safeguard abortion on demand, feminist leaders decided to treat the abortion experience as a conscientious and spiritual act. Religious justification became the new slogan, and abortion was repackaged to accommodate women's grief. Additionally, feminist leaders realized that by focusing on the spiritual and ritual aspects of abortion their novel version of feminist spirituality grows among unsuspecting women.

Miserably, within feminist spirituality abortion is considered a blood rite in honor of the goddess and the "witch is the holy abortionist."

If one has been in the battle for life for any length of time, one can attest to the presence of neo-pagans in the abortion rights camp. Whether clinic staff, volunteers, "deathscorts" who usher women from their cars to the clinic entrances, or outspoken abortion advocates, a disproportionate number are neo-pagans. A cursory view of an abortion clinic parking lot reveal bumper stickers that read, "Born Again Pagan," "Blessed be," "Coexist," "Harm None, Do What Ye Will," "Magic is in the Air" and "I am a Goddess."

My wife describes the time when she first became aware of the presence of neo-pagans in the abortion rights movement. She was at a pro-life prayer demonstration in California. She was part of a group of Christians, praying in a driveway behind an abortion clinic. As the saints prayed, a friend motioned for her to come to the front of the building. Much to my wife's astonishment, on the sidewalk by the front entrance to the abortion clinic, a woman was casting spells and praying to the goddess Diana. Raising her hands to heaven, the woman invoked the presence of the Diana. The Roman goddess Diana is known in Greek mythology as Artemis, goddess of birth and of blood sacrifice. As Christians were praying to God to end the sacrifice of his children (to end abortion), the woman was praying to the goddess of blood sacrifice to protect the sacrificial act (to protect abortion).

The goddess-worshiping woman at the clinic in California was not an isolated incident. Another witch, a high priestess in her coven, wrote an article for a feminist online journal entitled, "Ethics of Abortion: a Witches Perspective." In her article, she mentions that while at an abortion clinic she observed Christian women praying. She describes how she stood directly in front of them and immediately began to invoke the goddess Diana and to cast pentagrams in the air to counter their prayers.

Witches are a common sight at abortion clinics and pro-abortion rallies. They create abortion rituals by rediscovering ancient methods of herbal abortion and utilize occult methods (spells, incantations, and drugs) to protect abortion rights. Why are witches and other goddess worshipers so adamant in their support of abortion? As one high priestess described it, "It is only in maintaining full control of our bodies that we maintain our full empowerment as Priestesses."

Goddess worshipers believe abortion is a way to invoke the goddess. Starhawk is a practicing witch and a popular author in feminist circles. She is also a licensed minister of the Covenant of the Goddess. She wrote, "It is our encounter with the mysteries of birth and death...that we meet the Goddess. So to take away our right to have that encounter...is to deny a woman's deepest spiritual self." When she wrote this, she was referring to abortion. Here we have a priestess of the goddess asserting that for women to experience the goddess, women must possess the right to abort their own children.

After my wife encountered the goddess worshiper at the clinic in California, she wrote a book on feminist spirituality within the abortion rights movement. Her e-book is available free, as a pdf file, Abortion Rites: How Feminist Spirituality is Reframing the Abortion Debate. One of my wife's most outrageous discoveries is a personal diary by Deborah Maia, published under the title, Self-Ritual for Invoking Release of Spirit Life in the Womb.

Self-Ritual for Invoking Release of Spirit Life in the Womb details Maia's self-induced abortion. In her diary, Maia explains she underwent three abortions; her first two were clinical. According to Maia, the clinical abortions did not address her emotional or spiritual needs. Her abortion ritual is too graphic to relate. The important point to note is that she created her abortion ritual to honor the goddess.

In her diary, Maia claimed ritual was a way of invocation. In other words, her abortion invoked the goddess's "presence." According to Maia, "As the [abortion] ritual became manifest, I found myself making a commitment to the Goddess within."
Putting it more bluntly, renowned feminist psychologist Ginette Paris, in her book, Sacrament of Abortion, claims abortion is "a sacrifice to Artemis." Paris is a research coordinator with the Pacifica Graduate Institute in California. The Institute offers degree programs in the fields of Psychology and Mythological Studies. Paris even claimed, "Abortion is a sacred act." Remember, Artemis is the Greek equivalent to the goddess Diana. Artemis is the goddess of birth and of blood sacrifice. In Paris's worldview, abortion is a sacred sacrifice to the goddess of blood sacrifice.

The Abortionist's Hands

The view that abortion is a sacrifice to the goddess is not limited to witches and radical feminists. It is also the spiritual motivation for many abortion industry insiders. Abortion insiders understand better than most just what takes place during an abortion. In order to continue their gruesome practice, they have constructed a religious sophistry that justifies abortion.

Those in the pro-life movement have all heard stories of abortionists and staff who baptize aborted babies after their death. The late, infamous abortionist in Wichita, Kansas, George Tiller once advertised this "service" on his website. We should not be surprised to learn of neo-paganism's influence within clinics. Carla Vogel, an abortion clinic counselor for the Midwest Women's Health Center, "For me that five minutes [during an abortion] is holy. I believe that within that short time, the mysteries of birth and death come full circle, and that the potential of life is transformed." Jenny Higgins, another abortion clinic counselor, maintains, women who abort "all share something incredibly private and sacred."

Elizabeth Moonstone is a practicing witch and an abortionist. In her "Blessing For the Abortionist's Hands," Moonstone writes, "Once the Wise Woman and the Midwife undid the pregnant possibility...Now as an abortionist I have sterile instruments, knowledge of anatomy, modern drugs, a suction machine, and my hands." Moonstone's blessing was published in a feminist abortion rights book. In her prayer, Moonstone asks the goddess to bless the abortionist's hands. She refers to the cannula, the long plastic tube connected to a suction device that suctions the tiny baby to pieces, as a wand. Her prayer reads in part:

In my abortionist's hands I hold the plastic-tipped wand attached to a suction machine...May my hands move the wand skillfully, feeling the moment of emptying...May my hands stay connected to my heart as I release this spirit and return this woman to herself and other possibilities.

Since 1991, over 16,000 babies have been "released" by Moonstone's hands.

The Only Legitimate Sacrifice

Clearly, feminism's false spirituality is a portentous danger to preborn babies. Yet it is also a major threat to women. There is no authentic spiritual reconciliation within feminist spirituality, which means women are doomed to repeat the same sins. Not only are women deceived into sacrificing their preborn children to demons, once they have done so, they are at risk of aborting again to worship the goddess. Spiritual feminists call good, evil and the evil of abortion, good (Isaiah 5:20). They have "strengthened the hands of the wicked, that he should not return from his wicked way" (Ezekiel 13:22). Feminist spirituality enslaves women, even as their babies die as sacrificial victims.

So what is really taking place when a precious child's blood is spilled in honor of the goddess? According to the Bible, it is a practice inspired by demons. In the Old Testament, Moses equated the sacrifice to pagan deities to the sacrifice to demons, "They sacrificed unto devils, not to God; to gods whom they knew not, to new gods that came newly up, whom your fathers feared not" (Deuteronomy 32:17). In the book of Psalms we read:

Yea, they sacrificed their sons and their daughters unto devils, And shed innocent blood, even the blood of their sons and of their daughters, whom they sacrificed unto the idols of Canaan: and the land was polluted with blood. (Psalm 106:37-38)

In Leviticus and Revelation we are admonished not to worship devils (Leviticus 17:7; Revelation 9:20). The Bible exposes the worship of false gods as the worship of devils. In the New Testament, the apostle Paul wrote, "The things which the Gentiles sacrifice, they sacrifice to devils and not to God" (Corinthians 10:20). There is nothing new under the sun (Ecclesiastes 1:9). Followed to its logical conclusion, neo-paganism (with its moral relativism and cyclical view of life) leads to an anti-life theology, just as paganism in the ancient world led to child sacrifice. Lurking behind the seductive image of feminist spirituality's "goddess" are hideous, bloodthirsty demons.
True Spirituality

When false gods and goddesses were demanding blood sacrifices, Jesus Christ gave His life for us. To understand true spirituality, we must under¬stand our Savior and what it cost him to love us.

The very first preaching of the Gospel was by God himself, and it was for the comfort and love of the fallen race of men (Genesis 3:15). God cares for the men and women he created so much he chose to die for us rather than let us remain under the curse of sin and death. The Bible is all about Jesus; it is about God the Father reconciling the world to himself through His Son Jesus Christ. The message of the Bible is one of love and forgiveness-liberty from oppression and death. It is anathema to the oppressors and tyrants among us.

It should be evident, abortion mocks Jesus Christ's sacrifice on the cross. Women who have abortions are choosing to sacrifice their baby to achieve something else. It could be for gaining a false sense of spiritual empowerment. It could be over the fear that their sin of fornication might be exposed. It could be a child would hinder their schooling or career opportunities. There may be a host of other reasons, which convinces them to shed the blood of their children.

Regardless of the rationale, abortion is an abomination because it sets up a counterfeit, satanic sacrificial system that God condemns. Jesus Christ is the only God-ordained human sacrifice for the sin of mankind. Feminism itself is sin because it tries to manufacture power and freedom separate from the true and living God, the source of all power and liberty. We see this clearly in feminism's new spirituality that justifies abortion.

Women do not have "freedom" to choose death for another. Anymore than fathers under Roman paterfamilias had the authority to grant thumbs-up or down to keep or kill his dependent children. Essentially, what feminism does is set up a competing law/order system seeking to supplant God's law/order. This is idolatry.

While feminism breaks the First Commandment, "Thou shalt have no other gods before me," abortion breaks the Sixth Commandment, "Thou shalt not kill." Whereas true spirituality brings life and love, feminist spirituality brings deception and death.

Abortion violates true spirituality, through counterfeiting Christ's vicarious sacrifice on the cross. Consequently, abortion robs women of freedom-the freedom associated with true spirituality. Liberation comes when we accept Jesus Christ as Savior and ask Him to be Lord of our life. When we do this, immediately we experience freedom from the "wages of sin," which is death. This inner freedom gradually expresses itself externally. "Where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is liberty" (2 Corinthians 3:17).

History teaches that liberation and empowerment flow to women when the good news of Jesus Christ is preached. Why? Because the Bible teaches that men and women were made in God's image. Thus, everywhere the gospel of the kingdom flourishes, the dignity and status of women improves. Wherever the gospel suffers suppression, women suffer mistreatment and abuse.

Despite feminism's mantra, "freedom of choice," there is no freedom apart from Christ. Sadly, the one choice feminists refuse to consider is the one choice that guarantees everlasting freedom: the true spirituality found in Jesus Christ. He is the only legitimate human sacrifice that God will accept as payment for our transgressions. The sacrifice of children through abortion can never bring women the life, love, and light they seek. His dying words, "It is finished" (John 19:30), is an eternal proclamation of liberty for all those who believe in His name.
