NOVEMBER 8, 2022 STATE GENERAL ELECTION
ABSENTEE BALLOTS TO BE MAILED
Absentee ballots for the Tuesday, November 8, 2022 State General Election are now available at your City Clerk's Office. The first mailing will be sent this upcoming week for those who currently have requested an Absentee Ballot via application. Absentee Ballots can be returned by mail, in-person at the City Clerk's Office, or by using the Red Drop box at the Governmental Center.
Due to the passage of the statewide ballot proposal in 2018, all registered voters in Michigan may now request an absentee ballot without providing a reason. Those voting absentee can track your ballot online to ensure that it was received.
It is recommended that City voters send their absentee ballot in the mail by October 24th to ensure it arrives in time for the November 8th election. After October 24tH, submit your absentee ballot at the City Clerk's Office or the red drop box at the Governmental Center. Absentee Ballots must be received by 8 pm on election day.

Polls are open from 7 am to 8 pm. By state law, if you are in line at your polling place by 8 pm, you have a right to cast your ballot.
City of Traverse City Precinct Locations
The City Clerk's Office will be open 8 am - 4 pm on Saturday, November 5th for election purposes, including to provide Absentee Ballots to those interested.
