The Statewide Primary Election is on Tuesday, August 2nd. Voting ensures representation on the local, state, and federal level. Even the smallest of elections can have a big impact for the future. You can register to vote up to and even on Election Day. It's your right!
Primary Election
The August 2, 2022 election is a statewide primary where you vote for the candidates that will be placed on the ballot for the general election in November.
Voters should be aware that a statewide primary election does not allow for voting of candidates in opposite political parties, or in other words, only one side of the ballot can be voted. Please read carefully when reviewing your ballot to avoid errors.
Saturday Hours
The City Clerk's Office will be open 8 am - 4 pm on Saturday, July 30th for election purposes.
Absentee Voting
It was recommended that City voters send their absentee ballot in the mail by July 18 to ensure it arrives in time for the August 2nd primary election. After July 18th, submit your absentee ballot at the City Clerk's Office or the red drop box at the Governmental Center.

Voting Precincts
Polls are open from 7 am to 8 pm. By state law, if you are in line at your polling place by 8 pm, you have a right to cast your ballot.
