Correct PIN Times
The August 1 Bayside Bulletin had incorrect times listed for Lower School and Upper School Parent Information Nights (PIN). The LS PIN will be held at 6 p.m. next Monday (August 12), and the US PIN will be held next Thursday (August 15) at 5:30 p.m. We apologize for the mistake and any resulting confusion.
Picture of the Week
We are hoping to feature a different Picture of the Week submitted by a parent, student, or friend of Bayside in each week's Bulletin this year. These can be any picture that is Bayside-related: campus scenery, students in action, sports, etc.

Please email pictures, accompanied by the photographer's name and a brief description of the shot, to advancement@baysideacademy.org . We look forward to seeing your beautiful shots!

Summer Assignments & Supply Lists
Don't forget that students need to finish up their summer assignments over the next two weeks. Summer assignments for the 2019–2020 school year are posted on the website . Page and Palette has stocked our summer reading books for those who would like to shop locally.

Additionally, Upper School supply lists are posted. Intermediate and Lower School supplies will be purchased as a kit through The Shoppe on the Bluff.
Used Uniforms on FB
Did you know Bayside has a Facebook page dedicated to buying and selling gently used uniform items? Be sure to check out the Bayside Academy Uniform Swap group today! If you are posting used uniforms to sell, please make sure you are posting to this page.
School Shoe Option for Grades 5–12
Through our athletic partnership with BSN Sports, we are able to offer a school shoe option from Under Armour with significant cost savings. There are two styles of shoes available for both males and females starting in a size 5. The shoes can be ordered here  and will be delivered to the school.

Orders must be placed by Friday (August 9) .
Bus Service Available
Bayside is pleased to offer a bus service through BRATS this year. The route will include stops in Gulf Shores, Foley, and Point Clear. Additionally, there is the possibility of a stop in Fairhope if enough interest is expressed. Lunch Orders
Bayside students have the option of bringing lunch from home or ordering lunch through school. All Bayside lunch orders must be placed online in advance.

Beginning today, you may place online lunch orders for your student(s). Orders must be placed by midnight tomorrow (Wednesday, August 7) for lunches the first week of school. Please click here for instructions on creating a lunch account.
Extended Day
Bayside offers an Extended Day Program to students in Grades PK–6 from dismissal until 5:30 p.m. Drop-in rates are available for those who do not need the service on a daily basis. If you have any questions, please contact Marilee Propst at (251) 338-6390 or mpropst@baysideacademy.org .
YDL Sports
Registration is now open online for the following YDL programs:
  • Football
  • Flag Football: Grades 1 & 2
  • Tackle Football: Grades 3 & 4 and 5 & 6
  • If any fathers are interested in coaching, please contact Mark Lasseter or Jamie Ferguson. We still need assistant coaches for the 1st/2nd grade flag football teams and a head coach and assistant coach for the 3rd/4th grade team.
  • All YDL football teams will practice and play at our sports complex on Highway 64. The first day of practice for all teams will be Monday, August 5, and the first day of competition will be Monday, August 26.
  • Volleyball: Grades 3–6
  • XC (Running Club): Grades 3–6
 
Additionally, there is a YDL cheer opportunity for students in Grades 3–6. Please contact Ashton Crist with questions.
PK Parents
Don't forget that your completed DHR forms must be returned no later than Friday (August 9) .
Directories
2019–2020 Bayside Directories will be sent home with each family's youngest child the first week of school . Please be on the lookout for the directory in your child's backpack. Only one copy will be sent home. Additional copies may be purchased in The Shoppe on the Bluff.
