SchoolMessenger Test
Tomorrow at noon, we will conduct a SchoolMessenger test . SchoolMessenger is the system we use to communicate with parents via phone call, text, and/or email in the event of severe weather or an emergency.

High School Musical Audition Dates Set
The Theater Department is excited to announce the fall show: Disney's High School Musical On Stage! , presented through special arrangement with Music Theatre International and directed by Mr. Tim Kirby. Performances will take place on will be performed November 13, 14, 16, and 17.

Auditions for High School Musical will be next Tuesday (August 27) in the Pilot Center Theatre from 3:15–5:30 p.m. Auditions are open to students in Grades 8–12.

Audition scenes and information will be available this Thursday (August 22) from Mr. Kirby.
Nurse's Corner
If your child has any medical diagnosis such as a life-threatening allergy and/or asthma or if your child needs medication administration during school hours, please fill out these forms and return to the school nurse's office located in the Thomas F. Johnson Family Library. The authorization for medication administration form must be signed by the student's physician and parents. These forms are to be filled out with updated signatures each school year . Thank you for your assistance in providing the information so that we can meet your child's medical needs at school. If you have any questions about the forms, please contact Nurse Dee at (251) 338-6421 or .

Additionally, feel free to call or stop by the nurse's office to discuss any medical concerns you may have for your child.

Volunteer Opportunities
Looking for a way to give back to the school? We have myriad volunteer opportunities and would love to see you on campus. Click here to see the available options.
Lunch Duty
We need parents to assist with lunch distribution each day. We would love for every parent to take at least one day to help. It's easy and fun!
Supplemental Class Offerings for PK–6
Registration and enrollment for supplemental class offerings take place completely online. These classes occur during the school day but have additional fees associated with them. Beyond Bayside has more detailed information.
  • Dance is offered to students PK–6. (Ballet for PK–6; jazz for grades 2–6.)
  • Music is offered to students PK–6.
  • Mr. Steve Weiss—piano, guitar, ukulele, and violin lessons
  • Mrs. Amy Morgan—piano lessons

Classes begin this week, so be sure to register today. Don't miss the chance for your child to participate in these activities!
Beyond Bayside Camps
Beyond Bayside is our wonderful after-school enrichment program with something for most everyone in Grades PK–6. Check out all of our options on the website . Registration takes place completely online.

Wrapping Paper Fundraiser
The Bayside Service Club is selling wrapping paper to raise money for their service projects which include contributing to Ecumenical Ministries and Prodisee Pantry, providing Christmas gifts for local children, tutoring at the Boys & Girls Club, cooking for Ronald McDonald House and Chili Cook-Off, packing meals for Stop Hunger organizations, and helping victims of natural disasters. All Aboard! Daily Bus Service Available
Orange Beach, Foley, Magnolia Springs, Point Clear, & Fairhope
Bus transportation to and from Bayside will be available this year at pick-up and drop-off points at the following locations: The Wharf in Orange Beach, Foley, 98/49 in Magnolia Springs, Zundel's Landing in Point Clear, and Greer's in Fairhope. Rates are $150 per month per child.

Girls Who Code Club
Dr. Megan McCall will be facilitating a Girls Who Code club for girls in grades 3–5. The club will meet on Thursdays from 3:10–4:00 p.m. in the Innovative Center in the Library. Bayside will be well-represented at the Eastern Shore Chamber of Commerce's 2019–2020 Youth Leadership Program . Out of 40 students chosen to participate in this year's selective program, 12 are from Bayside: seniors Alex Cook, Audrey Hudson, and Lauren West; juniors Sophie Barkan, Frances Barnes, Lexi Floyd, David Head, Steadman Jones, Isabella McCormick, Martha Grace Mixon, John Brian O’Hara; and sophomore Walker Watson. We are so proud of these outstanding Admirals!
Lions Club Forum
Bayside seniors Alex Cook and Jack Smith were recognized as outstanding delegates at the Lions Club Forum this summer. Congratulations!
Become a Bayside Booster
Become a member of the Bayside Booster Club! Bayside's Booster Club is a nonprofit organization that promotes and fosters character and skill development through the support of sports and other co-curricular activities. The Booster Club provides logistical, volunteer, and financial support for students who are committed to achieving excellence in the classroom, on the field, and in the community.
