At the CDP General Assembly on October 14th, Elder Board member Rev. Randy Stateler from the First Church of God of Middle River (Middle River, MD) put forth a motion for the Elder Board to form a Visioning Committee to think about what the future of the CDP District might look like moving forward as well as in five to ten years, and to collect feedback from members of its churches to help consider possible activities or ministries. The motion was approved, and the formation of the committee will begin soon. The Visioning Committee will report to the district at the 2024 General Assembly its findings and proposals for consideration.
The Visioning Committee will consist of five to ten people from various backgrounds and churches within the district. If you would like to nominate someone for the Elder Board to consider as a candidate please email us at connect@cdpchurches.org and tell us the name of the person, their contact information, what church they are a part of, and why you think they would be a good fit to help envision the future of the CDP District. You can also reach out if you like any more information about the committee. Put “Visioning Committee” in the subject of your email for nominations and questions. We look forward to hearing your suggestions.

Praying for the General Director Search
A Prayer Team, led by Pastors Melissa Pratt and Tim Gould, was launched at Convention 2023 to facilitate and guide intentional opportunities for prayer throughout the General Director search process. Below you will find a list of prayer requests which will be updated regularly on the General Director transition webpage and featured monthly in the Let’s Move! newsletter (you can subscribe to the Let's Move! newsletter on the CHOG Ministries website).

CURRENT PRAYER REQUESTS
- The Search Team is scheduled for orientation and training in the near future. Pray that this gathering of individuals can gel quickly and meaningfully into a united and focused team.
- Pray also for favor within the Movement for the Search Team to be embraced and trusted with this momentous task of discovering and discerning the next General Director.
- NL Moore & Associates, the consultant working with the Search Team and the Ministries Council will soon be sending out a Landscape survey to the movement. Pray for a positive reception of the survey as it becomes available. May at least 1400 clergy and lay leaders within our Movement be compelled to take a few minutes of their time and energy to reflect their view and understanding of the Church of God with the goal of giving the church a snapshot of where we are today.

NAWCG T.E.A. (virtual event) - Nov 18
Visit the National Association Women of the Church of God website for more information.
The National Association Women of the Church of God are Christian women united across the United States (including members from Atlantic and Caribbean countries and Kenya) to honor God and celebrate one another.
An NAWCG woman is proud of her culture and heritage. She appreciates the deep, rich legacy that is the inheritance of her foremothers. Looking into the past she’s able to see The Hand of God moving on the hearts of the women who have founded and have sacrificed for the National Association of the Church of God and NAWCG ministry and she’s not ashamed to be associated with them.

Please join us in praying for peace around the world.
We pray specifically for the unfolding conflict in Israel and Palestine. While there are no Church of God congregations in either territory, we pray that precious human lives be spared on all sides and that world leaders have divine wisdom in their responses.
