For God is not unjust so as to overlook your work and the love that you have shown for His name in serving the saints, as you still do. Hebrews 6:10
L.I.F.E. Camp
"Life Is For Exploring" and that is just what our high school students are doing this summer. Each day of the week brings a different aspect for them to explore.

On Mondays, students spend the day in the high school building studying the Bible and worshiping together. They travel to various parks and learn different games on Tuesdays. On Wednesdays, the group ventures out to serve our community. Thursdays are for Vocational Exploration, when students learn different jobs and basic skills such as plumbing, babysitting, lawn mowing and more. Finally we have Fun Fridays where students relax with a trip to the pool or some other enjoyable excursion.

Plenty of memories will be made throughout this camp as our high school students are introduced to experiences and learn that life truly is for exploring.

Treasure Seekers camp is off to a great start as we've had record setting numbers of campers. With an average of 60 children a day, we are reaching more campers than ever!

Things have been pretty messy around camp this year as we have planted flowers and dug in the dirt during garden, made sea animals and bubble blowers during craft and enjoyed sticky syrup when breakfast was served for lunch.

Each of the groups has rallied together to create team names, banners and cheers. We invite you to come attend the end of camp reception and variety show on July 26th at 1:30 . You can cheer on the yellow fishies, the mighty blue sea turtles, orange squid squad and our green seashells. We'd love to have you join in the fun!
K-6 Summer Camp Needs

We will not have volunteer groups on the following dates. If you could join us for camp these days, we would love to have you!
July 23 & 25
*These are pool days*

If you are only able to come for a few hours to help serve and clean up lunch, we would still love to have your support. Email Sarah Lewton if you can make it.

Volunteer Spotlight-
Summer Impact
This team of interns is working with Summer Impact to bring volunteer groups to serve not only at Wesley Chapel Mission Center but at non-profit organizations across the city.

Each year Summer Impact works to create transformative serving experiences for both local and out of state youth groups. The organization plans and guides the church groups through a variety of service experiences, sharing with them the work God is doing throughout the city.

We are grateful to partner with them again this summer as they bring hundreds of volunteers through our doors!
MND Capstone Projects
At Mount Notre Dame High School, each student is required to engage in a Capstone project beginning in her junior year. The goal of the program is for students to learn to lead through service to others.

This year three students have chosen to do their projects with us. Kamille Harris chose to lead a week long Science Camp to engage our 4th-6th graders in hands on activities. In other words, the kids had a great time getting messy and learning about science.

Sydney Mueller led ten of our 1st-3rd graders in a Nature Camp where each day they created two craft projects using items found in nature. For the culminating event, campers made their own lava.

And finally, Nicole Bachman will support our Summer camp by spending a week engaging the students in different sports activities during our camp day. Thank you to all the young women who have chosen to work with our campers. We've been having a lot of fun!
Junior Assistant Program
If you spend some time with us this summer, you will see many new faces. Not only do we have many new campers, but we hired 6 Junior Assistants to work with our Treasure Seekers Camp. Plus we have two experienced Junior Assistants, Sayvon and Alanee, who lead the way for this group.
These staff members work in our Pre K-6 grade every Monday, Wednesday and Friday. Then on Tuesday and Thursday, Junior Assistants participate in L.I.F.E. Camp with the rest of our high school students. The Junior Assistant program is a job coaching program that allows our high school students to gain job experience while being encouraged to be the best employees they can be.
Jeff Davis, Junior Assistant Coordinator, said the group is progressing well. Each day he challenges them to be helpful, engaged, enthusiastic and timely when completing their tasks. We are excited about having them join our Wesley Chapel Family and look forward to serving with them throughout the summer.
Help us decide what's for lunch!
menu_sign_blackbg.jpg
We continue to seek lunch sponsors for our Pre K-6th grade Summer Camp.
Camp runs Monday-Friday through July 26th. We need meals for 80 campers and staff, but don't let that number intimidate you. Lunches can be simple, especially when you enlist the help of your small group, church, friends or family. We do try to include a protein, fruit/vegetable, and a side dish for each meal.

We will have Junior Assistants and volunteers here to help you serve. So when you bring lunch, we invite you to stay and eat with us or even spend the day at camp. Our kids love getting to know new people.

If you have any questions, feel free to reach out to Drew Oxley , Summer Camp Coordinator.
