CMS has issued new guidance for visitation, communal dining and activities for nursing homes, which applies to our Skilled Nursing Facility. We are currently working on a plan to safely facilitate in person visitation and reinstate communal activities and dining in our Skilled Nursing Facility and are awaiting the state to issue updated guidance for Assisted living, Memory Care and Independent Living.

How many times have you heard the phrase, “Follow your dreams!” But what happens when dreams don’t come true? What happens when you’ve done all you can and things don’t pan out the way you wanted? It's time for a new dream.

Visitation Facilitator Volunteers
We are preparing to restart outdoor visits for 1845 residents. Before we begin scheduling any visitations, the Beacon Hill staff is making preparations to ensure all visitation protocols will be met. We are looking for Visitation Facilitator Volunteers to assist in monitoring visits to ensure protocols are being followed.
We will follow up with more information on how to schedule a family visit. We are only accepting requests for volunteers at this time. Please do not contact staff to schedule a visit yet.
Virtual visits will still be an option for all residents.
If you are interested in volunteering, please select a time frame in the poll below

Rockford Construction and other members of the Beacon Hill Community have reported seeing Beacon Hill residents walking inside the security fence, which surrounds the Vistas construction site. This is a critical safety concern and cannot be tolerated. While the perimeter fence is designed to maintain a safe separation between you and the work being performed on the site, the gates are necessarily open during work times to enable efficient access to the project for the assigned workers and vehicles. Despite great care and planning for everyone’s safety, the site is full of risks and dangers and therefore cannot be infiltrated by unauthorized people.
Please help us keep the community safe by reporting all instances of intrusion by unauthorized people to the Concierge: 616 245-9179. Thank you for your assistance with this critical matter.

Legends and Legacies of Grand Rapids presented by Caroline Cook | Thursday, September 24 at 3:00 PM
Independent Living residents are invited to join us in the Community Room or Auditorium for a special virtual presentation presented by Caroline Cook.
The Grand Rapids Community Legends Project was established by local philanthropist and businessman, Peter Secchia and his family, in 2008 with the intent of keeping local history alive. They made a pledge to provide downtown Grand Rapids with a selection of no less than 25 bronze tributes of Grand Rapids’ most notable contributors. 11 years later, there are eleven 7- foot tall bronze sculptures placed throughout the urban core that have been gifted by the project. Discover who, what, and where during this presentation of both statue art and local history.
Spaces are limited to 9 in both areas. Sign up at the concierge desk. Residents may also join the presentation from home using the link below.
