We are proud to announce that our fully accredited Clinical Pastoral Education program (CPE) is expanding to include an online cohort for rabbis, cantors, and non-clergy Jewish professionals. This opportunity offers meaning professional and spiritual development, allowing participants to deepen their pastoral skills within a supportive, Jewishly-grounded environment.
In a complex and demanding era, clergy are called upon daily to navigate grief, crisis, illness, and existential uncertainty. AJRCA's online CPE program provides a structured space to reflect on that sacred work — and to refine it. Rooted in Jewish tradition, the program helps participants gain practical tools for assessing and responding to spiritually complicated moments, expanding intercultural and interfaith competence, and deepening self-awareness.
AJRCA alumna, Rabbi Cantor Elizabeth Bat Sarah, captured the program's transformative impact by sharing that: "CPE has given me the emotional and spiritual tools to translate my training and education into authentic connection with both congregants and colleagues. In countless ways, CPE fuels my day-to-day interactions."
The 2026–2027 cohort will begin with an orientation in late August 2026, followed by a break through the High Holy Day season and will conclude in May 2027. The program is offered entirely online, making it accessible regardless of location. Upon completion, participants will receive a certificate and one CPE unit. Tuition for the CPE unit is $4,150, with a $500 early-bird discount available for applications submitted before April 30, 2026, and an additional $250 discount for AJRCA alumni.
