PORTAL GALLERY

In the arts, bricolage is the construction or creation of a work from a diverse range of things that happen to be available. Join local artist Debra Gardner for her solo exhibit, Bricolage, in the Portal Gallery at the Fuller Lodge Art Center between March 8 and April 20, 2019. Debra’s art features a collection of collage, assemblage, boxes, works on paper, and book arts. “I am the person who walks with her head down, looking for bits of glass or rusty pieces and such, to use in my constructions”. Her use of vintage photographs and ephemera of the past evoke nostalgia. Whether or not you connect directly with the objects, you will definitely connect with the artwork.
