I would like to offer great gratitude to
Brenda Chiu
for chairing the Yearbook committee and sharing her time, energy, and expertise to provide our Hive with this treasure. Her intention was to spread smiles and I believe she has accomplished her mission in spades. Thank you, Brenda!
I would also like to offer my appreciation to
Jennifer Shapiro
, our Home and School Club President, for her enthusiasm and assistance with ordering and hanging our Bee Banner in front of the school. It is a beautiful reminder of what we value and that we will all be together again.
I miss you!

Week #4
Bee-ing a Great Reader
Do you think you do the best read-alouds around? Week #4's challenge is to record a reading of one of your favorite books. Even if you don't submit it to the Beehive, it'll be a great memory of the time we were Sheltering in Place.
1. Remember to start with who wrote and illustrated the book.
2. Make sure it's a picture book.
Here's one of our favorites for an example:

Feed Our Heroes is a campaign, led by our Los Gatos Education community, to supply free meals to local healthcare workers fighting the coronavirus.
The campaign has already raised money for over 2,200 meals, but more are needed. All meals are sourced from Los Gatos restaurants, providing local businesses much-needed support during these tough times.
A simple meal at the end of a long shift is well-deserved thanks to our healthcare worker’s dedication and service.
We hope you will join us and contribute to Feed Our Heroes.
Visit:
www.feedourheroes.org
All donations are tax-deductible and 100% of the funds go towards purchasing meals.
Feed Our Heroes fits alongside #FeedTheNeed BayArea, another local initiative led by the Los Gatos Chamber of Commerce. #FeedTheNeedBayArea provides meals for the most vulnerable Los Gatos citizens (seniors, displaced workers, low-income families), while Feed Our Heroes supports healthcare workers. Both campaigns are worthy of your support.
