From the Principal's Desk
Dear Blossom Hill Families:
I hope this message finds you and your loved ones healthy and well as we work through the sixth week of the Shelter-in-Place order. At this time, it is important that we continue to adhere to the guidelines and stay strong in our efforts to slow the spread of the COVID-19 Virus.
As you know, our Remote Learning journey has evolved over the last several weeks and this past Monday we formally instituted Phase 3.
Below is a link to a recently published document that answers frequently asked questions about LGUSD’s Remote Learning program where you can find information about:
What lens has the district used to make decisions about Remote Learning?
What is meant by asynchronous and synchronous learning?
What are the instructional platforms being utilized during Remote Learning?
What resources are available for families who wish to enrich or extend Remote Learning activities in their home?
What resources are available to help parents cope with this unprecedented experience?
What if I have questions about Special Education or my child’s 504 Plan?
What is the amount of work time expected for my child each day?
How are we going to measure progress during Remote Learning?
How will I know if my child has met the standards for their grade level?
Will all students be moving onto the next grade level?
As always, if you have questions or suggestions, please email me. Our beloved school is a very special place to learn and blossom. I look forward with all my heart to everyone returning to our hive.
Most sincerely,
Lisa Reynolds, Principal

Weekly Wisdom
Reynolds's Roundup
Week #2's Roundup challenge was to make the "Best Hive at Home". Many of you have pulled apart the couch and dragged the sheets and blankets off the bed to make creative forts. Madison C. submitted her HGTV worthy Clubhouse, complete with shelving, a cuddly bunny and hand sanitizer! We spy a future in design!

Week #3
Our next challenge will "Bee a Kindness ROCKs Star." Paint a small rock or two or more, then when we return to school, we can decorate our school gardens with your awesome works of art. Here is some inspiration from our BH alumni friends the Moore family. Please send photos of any of your rocks you think really rock to

Kudos Korner
A big thank you to our Hive co-chairs
Tara Moseley, Amanda Caruso,
and
Cat Leitch
. These amazing party planners and their team organized an incredible Hive which, of course, unfortunately had to be cancelled. They deserve a huge round of applause for all the work they did to coordinate our annual auction. For now, plans for our auction items and sign up parties are on hold as we wait to see when our shelter in place restrictions are lifted. The Home and School Club is so appreciative of Tara, Amanda, and Cat’s support for the last two years.

SR2S PEDESTRIAN TIPS
Walk facing traffic, on a sidewalk when present, and on the right side of a trail.
We are so pleased to see so many families and community members walking, biking, and skating daily! It’s important to keep doing so as safely as possible. Here are a few key takeaways to remember when taking your daily stroll: walk on the sidewalks when they are present, avoiding the street if possible, keep to the right side of a trail and pass on the left, and walk against traffic (facing the cars) if there are no sidewalks available.
