From the Principal’s Desk
Dear Blossom Hill Families:
Thank you for attending our virtual Back-to-School Night last week. If you were unable to attend, please reach out to your child’s teacher and they will be happy to share their presentation with you and answer any questions. On behalf of the staff, we are so proud of our student’ efforts during these first weeks of instruction. In order to keep this momentum going and to get the most out of this shared virtual experience, please review our Zoom norms with your child:

A number of our teachers and staff have been affected by the fires and have been deeply touched by our parent community's outpouring of concern and generosity. An anonymous donor has arranged for lunches to be brought to the school this week for all of our teachers on behalf of the Home & School Club. Thank you so much! For those who are interested in helping or contributing further in this difficult time, please contact our Staff Appreciation Committee Chair, Kristin Hutchinson at [email protected].

Room Parent Volunteers Needed!
One or two room parents are needed for each class. Responsibilities will primarily include acting as a liaison between your teacher, parents in your class, and the Home & School Club through the forwarding of email communications, and coordinating group gifts for the teacher using the class fund. If conditions allow later in the year, some coordination for class parties and events may also be requested by the teacher.
Please respond to the sign up email that was sent this past weekend. The sign up will close tomorrow, August 27th. If you have any questions, please email Ellen Feichtmeir at [email protected].
Volunteers are especially needed in the following classes: Mrs. Arredondo, Mrs. Kopecky, Mrs. Payne, Mrs. Bertucelli, Mrs. Weatherson, and Mrs. Seroff.
There will be a short Room Parent Meeting on Wednesday, September 2nd at 10am. A Zoom link will be emailed out later this week.
Thank you for volunteering!

London is calling all 3rd, 4th and 5th grade singers!!! The Upper Grade Chorus show will go on. The show's theme is London Calling: A Tribute to British Rock through the 60s, 70s and 80s. Featured songs by iconic British rock bands like The Beatles, Led Zeppelin, Rolling Stones, Pink Floyd and Queen will have your kids rocking out at home. The format of Chorus will be completely different this year due to the County of Santa Clara COVID restrictions. Practices will be online with a virtual final performance. Registration will open mid to late September. Practices will be held online on Thursday afternoons from 3:15p - 4:00p. Please check your email in the next couple of weeks for a survey that will gauge interest in participating in the new online Upper Grade Chorus. Stay tuned to the Beehive for further information. If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact us at [email protected].
