Los Gatos Union School District Parcel Tax
Measure B - Mail Your Ballot Today!
Quality schools are at the heart of our town. For over 30 years Los Gatos and Monte Sereno students have relied on locally controlled funding. But the funding level has not increased in 20 years...and the current measure is about to expire. If not renewed, our schools will lose $2.7 million in funding each year requiring deep cuts, including layoffs of teaching staff.

Measure B will renew school funding at $335 per parcel, providing approximately $3.2 million in annual funding for local elementary and middle schools. Measure B would expire in 8 years. To learn more about Measure B and its impact, visit www.lgusd.org/renewalmeasure.

Ballots are arriving to residents now. Please be an informed voter and vote on Measure B. It is the only item on the ballot.

Last Call for Clipped Box Tops For Education!
Keep Scanning Your Receipts!
Still have some unexpired Box Tops lying around? Send them to school with your student by October 29th. Students can place them in the Box Tops folder in their classroom. This will be the last call for Box Tops clips as Box Tops has gone digital. Please continue to scan your receipts to get credit for your purchases and help Blossom Hill earn cash. Questions? Mrs. Despars' Candy Collection is Back!
This year Mrs. Despars will again be collecting an extra or unwanted Halloween candy. You can have your child drop it off to her room (K4) or it can be dropped off in the front office. As in years past, the candy will be taken to local shelters/food pantries. Please email adespars@lgusd.org if you have any questions or suggestions. This is a great opportunity to be the source of someone’s joy.
Outdoor Learning Spaces - 
Community Feedback Opportunity
As a follow up to the September 14 community discussion on our Outdoor Learning Spaces, please join us on Monday, November 8, 2021 at 4:30pm at the District Office where all CDPH guidelines for indoor meeting protocols will be followed. The discussion will focus on the proposed capital improvement plans including landscaping upgrades at Blossom Hill, Daves Avenue and Van Meter schools. The proposed schematic designs for the outdoor learning spaces, adaptive playground at Van Meter and artificial grass playing fields will also be discussed. This meeting is in preparation for the Board of Trustees meeting on November 18. 
"Los Gatos Stands United Against Hate" Walk
Eighteen organizations in Los Gatos, with more adding daily, are partnering with the town to host Los Gatos Stands UNITED Against Hate Walk on Sunday, November 14 at 2pm. The walk begins at Fisher Middle School and ends at the Civic Center lawn. All are invited to create posters, and to discuss with classmates, neighbors and coworkers why they are participating and how their participation is part of creating an inclusive, respectful community in Los Gatos. When we work together against discrimination and hateful words, we can restore civil discourse and embrace the strength of our diversity. Posters and additional information can be found online at www.LosGatosCAA.gov/United and also at the Chamber of Commerce at 10 Station Way, Los Gatos. Spread the word, and plan to participate--rain or shine!
