Upper Grade Chorus
London is calling all 3rd, 4th and 5th grade singers!!! The Upper Grade Chorus show will go on. The show's theme is London Calling: A Tribute to British Rock through the 60s, 70s and 80s. Featured songs by iconic British rock bands like The Beatles, Led Zeppelin, Rolling Stones, Pink Floyd and Queen will have your kids rocking out at home. The format of Chorus will be completely different this year due to the County of Santa Clara COVID restrictions. Practices will be online with a virtual final performance. Registration will open mid to late September. Practices will be held online on Thursday afternoons from 3:15p - 4:00p. Please check your email in the next couple of weeks for a survey that will gauge interest in participating in the new online Upper Grade Chorus. Stay tuned to the Beehive for further information. If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact us at bhuppergradechorus@gmail.com.
Book of the Month
A wonderful book to read with your child is Who Moved My Cheese for Kids by Spencer Johnson. It focuses on how people deal with and feel differently about change, distinguishing between what is in our control and what is not, and how to be resilient in hard times. It is a great conversation starter on living and thriving in a pandemic. For extension activities and discussion questions for Who Moved My Cheese, go to Project Cornerstone - Who Moved My Cheese.
