Eight year old, “Michael” has big dreams of becoming a Stunt Man one day. “Michael" is a super active, full of energy kid who is always looking for fun ways to get his energy out. His nominator shared that he is a leader of his class and is a very bright and kind child. Through a Believe in Dreams experience, “Michael" was presented with a one week summer camp at Adrenaline Monkey, an Urban Air trampoline park experience, skate board lessons, a new mountain bike with ramp and rail set along with all of the safety gear. “Michael has overcome unimaginable hardships and is well on his way to practicing and learning skills to attain his dream of becoming a stunt man one day!

Summer is a busy time at Believe in Dreams. We will be presenting our 500th dream by the end of July! Half way to our goal of 1000 dreams by 2028. Your support will assure that every qualified child who is nominated will be presented with a customized, local dream experience.

A Night of Dreams Recap

A special thank you to all who attended and supported A Night of Dreams Gala & Auction. If you were unable to attend, please take a few minutes to watch a very special Dreamer Parent share her family's BID story.

During Ms. Boyd's speech she mentions a resource connection BID made to  The US Marshals Violent Fugitive Task Force.  We'd like to extend a heartfelt thank you to this AMAZING organization who, as Ms. Boyd shared, worked diligently to bring her sisters murder to justice.

The Marshals found and took this individual into custody earlier this month, bringing much needed peace to their family. 

Community Partner

BID has partnered with the Waterford Upstart Program for accessible at-home, Pre-K learning opportunities. This program helps children boost their confidence and prepare for the next school year. Strengthen reading, math, and science skills in minutes a day with this fun, proven, at-home learning. It’s free for families. 

Waterford is looking to recruit four-year old children who will be in PreK the fall of 2022. As part of the Upstart Program, each participant will receive a computer. For homes that don’t have internet service, it will be provided. Each participating family will also be assigned a coach. As an incentive, participants that complete the program are able to keep their computer.
